If Chris was actually serious during the interview on Ellen, we can have a rough estimate, the week & year (1996, that's for sure). Chris said: "It'll be 15 years this week". So all we have to know is the date of that interview on Ellen in 2011. I think it was late October, but I'm not sure.

So, in this blessed September day 1996 Chris was running down the hallway at UCL when Jonny first laid eyes on him ( he had hair like a mop & he thought he was crazy)..then their eyes meet for the very first time and.............the magic begins.
