If its a download only, it seems very unlikely to me that it'll leak. Unless of course the video is going to be out sooner.

But download only means no physical promos, meaning no-one but the bands management to leak it, doesn't it? I really hope i'm wrong though :(

But on a serious note, its not going to be any harder to get a leak of this song just because its not on CD's. Its probably on a ton of hard drives right now

At least we get to hear something new soon!!3 weeks is a lot closer than June 16th when the whole album comes out.I think this will hold us over til then.I think a lot of people will be playin Violet Hill over and over again when it comes out!!I know i will!

this is GREAT news!!!! i love the fact that it'll be downloadable so i can have it and play it hundreds of times in the first day. we don't even really have to worry about stalking the radio anymore! oh goodness, this is the best, most promising news we've gotten in awhile, i think! :dance:

I'm just thinking back to Keane's Atlantic, where the first time anyone heard it was on Channel 4 as a music video premiere. I wonder if Coldplay will have the premier on TV then, we all assume it'll be on the radio.

Very true! Notice ever since we got the news about the single coming out real soon and the tracklisting, there hasn't been one new star. And NONE of us have cared :D

I hope when this hits the airwaves people will remember that Coldplay is the biggest and best band in the world and all that Timberlake, Mariah Carey, Akon, Soulja Boy crap really IS crap

It's like most popular music nowadays. It's not music, it's just a series of synthed noises sampled from other songs over and over and over again. Just talk (cause that is NOT singing or rapping) about perverted sexual acts and treating women like crap and you have a hit song!!!

I think X & Y was June 9th. We got Speed of Sound this time 3 years ago though. Geez, it's already been three years!!!

 

I don't think we should be celebrating more to the story, it may be nothing.

X&Y doesnt even seem like its three years old, i guess thats because its the newest material we have

More details on Chris: He was at the IMAX on Friday afternoon and was with an Australian woman and and English man. Apparently he wore his hood up for most of the film! :stunned:
