Just started listening to the new Elbow album (lucky Brits get it a month before us Yanks!). This album is incredible!! I can't give it enough praise! DEFINETLY something to listen to slack-jawed while waiting for June!! The Seldom Seen Kid; EVERYONE who loves Coldplay MUST give it their attention!

Ok Ill get the album if you say they are as good as you say they are.

Not that similar in my opinion, but still very good.

In my opinion (i'm very very picky about music), you'll have the same feelings when you listen to Elbow as you will when you listen to Coldplay. Gorgeous, gorgeous music.

Radiohead and Coldplay aren't that similar at all but people make the comparisons all the time.

Just got an email from someone who works at London IMAX who tells me that Coldplay's new single, Violet Hill, will be released as an internet download in three weeks time, according to Chris Martin.

 

Chris was spotted at the London IMAX cinema where he told the worker that the single would be a download only. Chris was on his way to seeing the Rolling Stones musical film "Shine A Light".

Same here. One song a few days early would just be enough to tide us over, but the whole album would just be like looking at your Christmas gifts in November.It's too much. I think att his point I could be patient and wait for the album as long as there's a single sooooooon.

I just heard on XFM that NME will give Violet Hill single on May 7th (I think) My englsih is crappy so someone should verify this, radio djs talk too fast for me.
