Me neither. Once a day takes some self-discipline, but waiting until the 16th? I'd EXPLODE!:laugh3:

It's quite easy if you put your mind to it

Well, you have a very specific way of listening to music, so it's probably easier for you to just stick with the queue, because you're used to doing it. It makes sense, but I'm still impressed. I think I could wait for an official release if the album leaked early, but not the single.

I love sitting down with a new album, exploring the artwork and reading the lyrics (when provided) as I listen, and you can't do that with a leak.

Do you really think that the lyrics on Violet Hill refer to George W. Bush?

yes i do. 100%. that's how i interpret them, anyway, and music is completely subjective, but i think that's how chris intended them too. really, there are too many connections to him and to the economy etc etc for me to deny them, but i don't think everyone has to interpret them that way.

wow, i thought i'd listened to it a lot, but some people have completely blown my playcount out of the water!

Well, it's been a little time sense it hit the airwaves so how many times by now have you heard Violet Hill?

I myself have heard it about 35 times.

and this person has heard it 212

so you just haven't heard the song yet? woah.... man, I couldn't stop myself from listening to it the very first time it hit the radio.

I could be listening Violet Hill all the day, but i'm trying to contain myself. So, 15 times. And I'm going to listen to it for the 16th time right now.

About 60 times in my car, and I-tunes says I've listened to 101 times!

I'm trying for a VH-free day today. I'll probably make it til midnight...then all bets are off!

I could've done it too, but I listened to it once this morning.. hmm wait, I was still half asleep, so does it count ? :)

Nah. Doesn't count.;)

I think I've listened to it something like 6 or 7 times. Nothing amazing.

:D so I declare this day : the official first VH-free day since its release !

Only 25 times.

And each and every time it's continued to grow on me. My first impressions were so so, I honestly wasn't impressed, but like anything new, after a few times... I'm now loving Violet Hill.

Keep the music playing guys!

My official count= 315. Top that.

Wow. First post. :)

[Deleted double post, sorry]

Shoot double post...how do I fix that

I started listening to it this morning, then turned it off just as the first "If you loooove me" kicked in. It was like withdrawing the moment before, erm, singing the chorus.

lol!! '...singing the chorus'...right...

Welcome to the forum, bigtuna! Don't worry about the post...happens to all of us.:)

I was going to say that bigtuna could edit the first post so it said something like "I have listened to it 'x' number of times", and then edit the second post so it said "Ohh, just listened to it again after I typed that other post, so now I have listened to it 'y' times" and then carry on to say 'z' times in the third post. But it doesn't really matter does it - nooothing really maaaatters, aaaanyone can seeeee.
