May 10, 200818 yr I'm so happy I'll either be heading to Philly or DC. Same here, probably DC for me. Shame they aren't playing anywhere in VA or even NC, though I'm thinking a Virginia Beach show might be coming along sometime or other..... Anyone know who the opening act'll be?
May 10, 200818 yr I think it's pretty awesome that they're playing Chicago right after Lollapalooza... I'll be there for the festival, so I'll probably just stay the extra day. Radiohead and Coldplay back to back... I'll likely die.
May 10, 200818 yr I hope they announce more shows before I have to decide whether to buy tickets. I think they'd come here, but should I risk missing out on the whole tour on such an assumption?
May 10, 200818 yr I must be a "blind guy" because I do not see them coming here to LA. Maybe not shown as of yet? Good lord I will see them in Las Vegas no doubt as it was the best show and venue last time around. We caught then in LA for three shows last Tour. Come on people. We are begging you for a couple of shows, The Forum and the O.C. :shocked2: :D
May 10, 200818 yr Detroit baby!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. you buy Detroit and I'll buy Chicago!!!!!!!!!! zomgggggggggggg plzzzzzzzzz
May 10, 200818 yr I wanna know why they're not doing the UK first, when they are English after all. I have to wait soooooooooooooooooooooooo long :( i agree...come to britian coldplay...visit ur parents...and tour at the same time :D
May 10, 200818 yr Acoording to the Liverpool Echo Coldplay will be playing at the Echo arena before Christmas :dance::dance: They've also named Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and London Coldplay at Christmas coup for Echo Arena May 10 2008 by Vicki Kellaway, Liverpool Echo THE ECHO Arena today revealed its biggest coup so far – Coldplay will perform at the waterfront venue in the run-up to Christmas. Bosses described the news as “phenomenal” for the city. The multi-award winning international superstars will perform to thousands of fans at the arena on December 10. Coldplay have won several Grammys and played sell-out gigs around the world. They announced their Liverpool gig just days after the release of their new single, Violet Hill. Sales manager Ian Congdon said it was thrilling to sign such a massive act. He said: “The fact we are able to secure this level of act within four months of opening the ECHO Arena as a new venue is, without doubt, a phenomenal success.” Coldplay are famous for albums including A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y and singles including Yellow, Clocks and The Scientist. Lead singer Chris Martin is widely known for his marriage to actress Gwyneth Paltrow – although the couple, who have children Apple and Moses, refuse to appear publicly together. The 31-year-old is also politically active and often has slogans emblazoned on his hands and piano supporting Fair Trade. Besides the Liverpool gig, Coldplay have announced plans to play Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and London as part of their 12-date tour. Mr Congdon said: “Coldplay are the act of recent times and have blazed a trail for the new wave of alternative acts coming out of the UK. “Our customers wanted more contemporary acts and I don’t think we could have announced our intentions any better than announcing this show.” Coldplay have joined acts including Queen, Duran Duran and Elton John to play gigs at the ECHO Arena. Mr Congdon said staff had worked incredibly hard to lure acts also including Girls Aloud, Westlife and local heroes The Wombats. He said: “Securing Coldplay is just the tip of the iceberg of the amount of hard work that has gone into establishing the ECHO Arena.” The date for tickets to go on sale has not yet been released. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2008/05/10/coldplay-at-christmas-coup-for-echo-arena-100252-20889173/ :dance:
May 10, 200818 yr Have a look at your local newspapers or venues, the UK tour hasn't been announced officially yet, but this newspaper has run a story on it anyway :D
May 10, 200818 yr OMG I had a heart attack when I saw that they were playing a show in England during Christmastime--because I'm going to London during the holidays....but damn. It's in Liverpool. :( Hopefully they'll play another London show besides the free one....

May 10, 200818 yr No virginia?! :bigcry: Well, they did say those weren't all of the tour dates but ---> :bigcry:
May 10, 200818 yr Oh god damnit--I was planning on going to DC to study for a few weeks, but I'd miss the Vegas gig and most likely the SoCal gigs that could be announced in the future. :( :( :( Ahhhhh education or Coldplay? :bigcry:
May 10, 200818 yr only date i can make is the new jersey show. philly is on my wedding day and the others i'll be on the honeymoon.
May 10, 200818 yr i can't say i'm happy with the dates just because they don't fit my schedule. i guess i picked the wrong summer to live in europe! ah well, i'm really REALLY hoping for free MSG tix, and i'm definitely going to the today show, so that'll get my fix satisfied for a little while. and i've already hatched a plan in my brain to go ALL the way to east rutherford, NJ (from central PA) to see them on october 26. i'm DOING it!! i missed a day of school once before for them, i'll sure as hell miss a day of college for them.
May 10, 200818 yr I'm disappointed in the Chicago show's date and venue. Unfortunately it is on a Monday night, at the United Center (which sucks, acoustically), and is the week of my yearly Dave Matthews Band weekend at Alpine Valley. I already had to take that Friday and the next Monday off, so I probably won't be granted an additional day in the middle of the week off. :(
May 10, 200818 yr  OOOOOMMMMGGG! THEY'RE COMING TO CALGARY..... AND I'M GOING!!!!! I'm probably the most excited here.. i ran around my house screaming and flailing my arms. LOL i hope i get good tickets!!! :surprised: and they'll be my first concert that i've ever gone to.. sadly, but still amazingly wonderful! haha I'm even thinking about going to the show in edmonton because I it's close enough... but... I have school. :freak:
May 10, 200818 yr they better add more dates...i can't see them ignoring places like miami, tampa, orlando, LA, nashville....but i want to know when the second leg is going to start....looks like december in england and then what? i really don't want to wait until feb or march for them to come back over here...i am still baffled they ignored florida and la all together on this first leg
May 11, 200818 yr They HAVE to add SoCal into the tour lineup (it's LA for heaven's sake!), as well as the other major cities in the U.S.; it's unheard of to ignore them all! My guess for the info-retaining is that they're finishing up the booking process or since those cities sell-out super fast, it's kind of better to have the info released later to avoid any ginormous frenzy. *squeee* Can't wait for the concert(s)!
May 11, 200818 yr I cannot wait anymore to see some dates for europe!!!!!!!!! :sick2: I wanna know know where to go to then.... I´d like to live in Canada know.
