April 8, 200917 yr this thread is about MGMT so I'm going to switch the conversation back to it.. I love them and I'm really excited to see them at the All Points West Festival this summer with COLDPLAY!! Anyone else going?
April 11, 200917 yr its awesome that they are going to name their second album Congratulations. hahaa. they claim to have come up with the title before they released Oracular. they are doing one show in New Zealand in late july. hope they visit australia while they're down here.

April 11, 200917 yr most probably very late this year or early next year. they are touring loosely through 2009. but they said after their massive australian tour last december that they will start 'writing' the new album in the new year. now 'writing' is a very very primitive stage of an album. once they admit they are 'recording' then we can get excited.

June 4, 200917 yr wow it had never struck me that Kids didnt have a video. i still dont understand why youtube dont let you watch some videos if you're in certain countries. stupidest thing ever!! IMO Kids is one of the best pop songs i have ever heard EVER. that video isnt exactly the best but wonderful nonetheless. i really liked it how they depicted the idea of how ' to a baby/kid everyone in the world is monster except their mum'
June 4, 200917 yr That was horrible, great song but horrible video. i thought it was good until the animation started, the first half was funny though.
June 4, 200917 yr ^^ yeah i agree with you the animated bit was a little silly. but thats MGMT for you. hope they bring out new material towards the end of the year. remembering that oracular spectacular effectively came out in late 2007 so it has almost been 2years.

June 5, 200917 yr felt sorry for that kid in the video, he's probably gonna be scarred for live... :D when I heard that they were gonna have something to look out for I though they were going to be announcing a new album or something.

It really is a great album from start to finish except for future reflections.
