I admit, it will get them a huge amount more attention in the US. Viva la Vida was back at number one on iTunes today, and I'll bet it wasn't a coincidence...

It wasn't as bad as I had expected, after reading this thread. And the oooohhhh at the end was great. Chris' voice was really quite patchy though and you could tell he knew it was going badly.

 

I enjoyed it overall though :D

Good performance. I never realised just how much lower Chris was singing until that. :stunned: I liked it. :nice: And neat to see all the guys moving around doing different things like that. Agreed about too much confetti though.

 

If it wasn't perfect I'm going to blame the monkey at the mixing desk for that. There's some rule that awards shows have to make people sound worse on tv than they did in person. I've been to one to see the phenomenon myself- the sound equipment will never capture the way it all sounded there in the room.

well people if you dont like it(i like it personally). wait for the live performance. the us awards are always shit the europe's awards have better sound.As i said before do you remember the u2 performance of beautiful day when bono cant reach the high notes?. so fuck that its just a performance.
