yep definitely ! less confettis and more Coldplay

If I think about this performance and song..and then think about albums like Parachutes or AROBTTH...I feel like the world has changed quite a bit..and so are they...but in a good or in a bad way? I really don't know..Depends on what you search for in music...

This performance was OK, but nothing more..Would like to see how they pull it off in a real gig

Definitely excitement. I'm not disappointed with last nights performance at all. We have seen Chris fuck up monumentally too many times to count so being a little nervous is nothing. At least he remembered all the words:laugh3:

It's go time for Coldplay...phase one of the world takeover in action...

Good. You going to stay up now or try and sleep?

C&J interview in a few hours

Watching that video again he signals to the mixing table loads! As soon as he starts singing and then all the way through.

Question: how long into the show do I have to wait for the performance? cause the show is going to be aired tomorrow here in Italy, and I don't want to watch it in its whole

i think Chris had a cold or something , he was a bit out of key . Never seen him do that before :P The TV was cool though with them playing the violin and stuf.

just about 20 minutes

Jonny is such a hottie. he needs to sing more. Chris's voice was a littlle higher than usual/off key a bit

Yeah it definately was a bit of a let-down in terms of vocals, but you know what I don't mind. Firstly he's known for singing in falsetto, so hearing him just sing is a bit odd, and secondly they haven't done many huge performances in a while so it may just be that his vocal chords need some tuning.

just about 20 minutes

Thankies :D

I agree, he did seem very nervous and his vocals weren't chris martin worthy... YET. they only rehearsed it once, and they've NEVER played the song in public, let alone on a scale THAT big yet. They've got several more weeks to refine and polish, I'm not worried one fraction! It was still incredibly awesome seeing all the guys back on stage kicking ass as usual though! :smug:

chris' voice was not at its best i think:confused: anyway great show!!:):) thanks for posting the link;)

It seems Chris Martin has lost the ability to sing live... though some might argue did he ever have it? If you watch the 2005 MTV Movie Awards performance you'll hear what I mean, hard on the ears!

In actual fact if you watch the ACL performance of In The Sun you can visibly see Michael Stipe flinch and cringe when Chris tries to hit the high note... hahaha... true!

Yes indeed, Chris is a bit out of key, :singer:

but I think it will solve until I hear him sing the 17th and 18th September!:laugh1::rolleyes5:

But if you ignore Chris singing, this performance were a brilliant teaser, the band live, with a sort of "16th century" theme and confetti and churchbells and violin and choir-singing (the singing from Jonny, Will and Guy really impressed me!):guitarist::lol:

I agree. The 2003 Grammy performance of Politik makes me cringe too though, so I think it's just kinda random with Chris. Sometimes he amazes me...sometimes he doesn't....

Chris has always had trouble with his voice, it was very badly damaged in 2001.

However his voice is for the most most part fine, it's the high pressured situations it seems to suffer. Plus this isn't American Idol, any idiot can sing in a voice with absolutely no personality. ;)

Oh and if anyone can see Michael flinch, I'll give them $3000 ;)
