They should get the stairs fixed in the Beehive, because this can break or have the building fall down if there is an earthquake or bad storm. I have been in some very bad earthquakes and storms and have seen buildings fall down. I am looking forward to their next CD.

I think they'll be pretty safe from earthquakes! Don't you worry! Storms though? Nothing major's hit London in recent years weather wise apart from a few specks of snow which seemed to bring the whole city down and made top billing on the news bulletins! Oh so melodramatic.

Oddly enough my flight was one of the very few that was scheduled to leave from Heathrow; it was the rail system that did me in. Train broke down half hour south of Newcastle, stuck there over an hour with no power in -10C temps, they did a quick fix to get us to the next station, but we had to take a different route anyway because the overhead lines further south snapped due to the ice, got rerouted to the middle of nowhere switching trains at least 4 times. Basically it took me 8 hours to get to London. I arrived at Paddington just as my flight took off. Got lucky with re-booking the next day, but that wasn't even a re-booking, it was just an outright purchase of new tickets. Yay.

Yeah I had immense problems getting away from Glasgow airport a week before Christmas where my plane was cancelled three times and I didn't get back home till three days after I originally intended. But your outright purchase of new tickets sounds a right piss take.
