i agree that .../updates on coldplay.com can only be from coldplay.com

but small reminders/... can be from every other coldplayish source.

Good evening. We'd like to introduce you to The Black Ships, the new band featuring Davide Rossi, the musical maestro who has been responsible for the string arrangements on Coldplay's last two albums. Davide has formed The Black Ships with Nick McCabe and Simon Jones (both of whom you may know from The Verve) and Mig Schillace, erstwhile drummer for Portishead.

 

The Black Ships make their live debut at London's King's College Music Union on June 2nd 2011. Click here for tickets - and check out the video below for a preview of their music.

Austin City Limits performance announced

Coldplay to perform at Texas festival in September

 

Good morning. It's just been announced that Coldplay are one of the headline acts at this year's Austin City Limits festival, which takes place at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. The band will top the bill at the first night of the 3-day event, on Friday 16 September.

 

The 3-day passes for ACL sold out before the line-up was announced, but day tickets are still available. They go on sale today (17 May) at 10am Central Time, costing $90. Click here to visit ACL's site for more information and to buy.
