it seems that they are preparing a big surprise for Glasto.

Everything else - we already knew.

He still owes us a little video with an interview and maybe more detailed posts...

Mr Champion joins Steve Lamacq to talk about Glastonbury

Good afternoon. This Wednesday (June 15th), Will joins Steve Lamacq on his BBC 6 Music radio show for an in-depth chat about Coldplay's upcoming Glastonbury headline slot. As well as talking about the band's various appearances at the festival, he'll also be choosing some of his favourite Glastonbury sets from the likes of the Flaming Lips, Pulp and Orbital, and chatting about Coldplay's upcoming fifth album.

The show begins at 4pm UK time (find out what time that is where you are by clicking here), and you can listen live online at the BBC's website by clicking here.

Yeeahh...can't imangine that this excitment of the four guys is just because of the crowd and history of Glasto... @The Escapist... also the planned transmission into several cinemas is a hint for a "bigger plan"...

...but really I don't know what that could be.

They played some new songs also before (they wouldn't present the whole album, or?)...the laser show is a bit new and a huge number, they have new dresses.... hmmm?!

Btw.... I'm suprised of the promotion of Charlie Brown which was mentioned the second time in the blog.

...on the other hand the other ones seem to be not so important?! It suprised me that they just talk about the ONE new song... ?!

For those that know, how many songs off AROBTTH were played at Glastonbury 2002? I'm hoping for something similar this year.

That's true. I'm not sure how many they played exactly, but it was several. I'm thinking around 6-8?

Of course, that would mean that they would have to play Princess of China :wink3:

that is an interesting detail - it's a bit sad that they are giving away a large part of the album before a proper studio release version...

^ We don't know that any of these songs will wind up on LP5. I remember they played Solid Ground live (perhaps at Glasto?) but it wound up being scratched from A Rush Of Blood

Personally, I'm hoping for an EP release with all of these new songs, and then LP5 a few weeks later with all new material :awesome:
