Good afternoon. As previously announced, Coldplay will play a special Live In The Lot show for MuchMusic in Toronto, Canada on 21 September. The show will also stream live in Canada on muchmusic.com.

 

We have five pairs of tickets to give away to Coldplay.com readers. If you'd like to win a pair, then click here and enter your details before 9am (Toronto time) tomorrow, Thur 15 Sept. You must be over 14 to enter, and the prize consists just of tickets (not travel or accommodation).

 

If you're in Toronto today, you can also try to get a wristband for the show by heading along to MuchMusic headquarters at 299 Queen St. West this afternoon (Wed 14 Sept). Starting at 5 pm ET they will be giving away wristbands. Just turn up to be in with a chance of getting one.

You can turn up and watch the early morning show

 

Good afternoon. On Friday 21 October, Coldplay will be performing a special live concert for NBC's TODAY show in New York's Rockefeller Plaza. The performance starts at 7am EST.

 

If you'd like to go along and watch, viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis outside TODAY's window-on-the-world studio, located at 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. We're told that, for the best viewing spots, you should arrive by 6am.

Performance starts at 7am? I somehow doubt that. The show might start at that time, but I doubt the performance will. Anybody who was at the Viva one... what's your thoughts on the time?

I got there last time at 6. the today show normally goes on tv at 5 or 6. When we were there last time the boys came out i think around 7 for warmups and soundchecks. they go live on tv around 8 am, its still all a blur.. and once in a lifetime amazing blurrrr

People are lined up the night b4 with sleeping bags and stuff.

Sounds like fun but I'm afraid I'll be out of vacation time by then.

Late October? Hopefully it won't be too cold! That would be funny if there was a freak snow shower. :lol:

funny you say that, the Today show started this whole concert series for the summer only, but i guess it has become a big success and just keep it going!

 

It was a hot humid day last time, I dont mind the cold but will not be sleeeping out in oct!

 

I stood in the rain there for kings of leon, that was not fun :P

Good morning. We're very pleased to report that Coldplay have just been named 2011 Festival Headliner of the Year by the BBC 6 Music radio station, following a public vote. Big thanks to all of you who voted.

 

Will is doing a live phone interview to discuss the win with Steve Lamacq on his 6 Music show today at around 5.30pm.

Free live album in The Sunday Times this weekend

Good afternoon. This weekend, the UK's Sunday Times newspaper is giving away a free album of tracks from Coldplay's performance at July's iTunes Festival in London. See the newspaper or its online edition on Sunday for details of how to download seven free songs. A further five tracks will be given away in The Times next week. Please note, this giveaway is only available for readers in the UK and Ireland.

 

Sunday's newspaper also features an interview with the band which was done on their recent trip to Japan (cover shot below).
