The video has been leaked! I have seen it :awesome:

Most of us have.

And I really don't want to say this...But I don't like it a LOT! I mean I think its better than Princess of China which was horrible, till now I cant look at that video without squirming in my seat! But I guess I really LOVE the song! Its one of the better ones of Mylo Xyloto which itself is not my favorite album! So, this comic book thing is not working for me......If they want to explore new stuff there are a lot of new avenues than Comic Books!

Good afternoon, here is the brand new video for Hurts Like Heaven. It was directed by Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda, MORE, and the upcoming The Little Prince) and charts a graffiti gang's colourful but doomed rebellion against Major Minus and his oppressive regime.

It is the prequel to the story of Mylo Xyloto which will be told via the six-part Mylo Xyloto comic series to be released monthly by Matt Groening's celebrated Bongo Comics from February 2013. The comic series is available to pre-order from today in the Coldplay Shop.

The illustrations for the video were done by Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord from the company Fortiche and Alejandro Fuentes. Steve Hamaker did the color and Alexander Juhasz did the original storyboards.

"Fifth and final single from Mylo Xyloto"...it seems like yesterday when they released ETIAW, wow, time does fly...

Well.......................Very colorful................... IMO seems like a advert for the comic book, not like a normal video:\ Love the song:)

Crap, I can't buy anything from the Coldplay shop due to their stupid payment options.

"It is the prequel to the story of Mylo Xyloto"

so yes, that's basically it's purpose :P

but it's a really cool video :wacko::wacky:

 I love your avatar:D

why thank you :charming:

but anyway, i don't see anything wrong with it being sort of an advert... music videos in general are just promotion, the only real difference here is that the promotion is less about the song itself and more about some other piece they made

why thank you :charming:

Well, when you put it that way:thinking: I tend to think about the song BEING the video, and your right it is promoting a project of theirs, don't get me wrong I do like it, just had my fantasy wrapped around a different setting for the song:P

that's understandable. to be honest, i think visually the video coincides more with ETIAW than HLH :P

why thank you :charming:

IMHO it's no different then when people were mad they did the iTunes commercial. So what if it's promoting a product? They were both primarily promoting Coldplay's own product, which I personally see nothing wrong with whatsoever.

Guy's old photo project reopens

15 October 2012 3:13 pm

Guy renews his call for you to send him found/discarded photos

news_line.png

guyold.png

Hello. In 2010, I asked you to help me with a personal art project, by sending in old photographs. Some incredible photos were sent in from all over the world (a few of them are shown above). And now I'd like to see if you can help me to find any more.

As before, they can be good photos, or completely out of focus. They can be black and white or colour. The point is that they are pictures dating back to the 1960s and before, that have been thrown away and found again - rather than your own old family photographs. Thanks for your help. I can't wait to see what you come up with this time.

Guy

Please send photo(s) with a note saying which city/country they were found in - to:

Guy's Old Photos

2nd Floor

88/90 Baker Street

London

W1U 6TQ

(Postal submissions only - personal deliveries cannot be accepted)

Unfortunately we won't be able to return the photographs - but, as Guy says, he's looking for discarded photographs found in charity/thrift shops etc, rather than your own personal ones. And, as a thank you for your efforts, we'll be sending out one signed picture of the band per week to randomly-selected senders of old photos. If you'd like to be in with a chance of winning one, please include your name and address.

^Seriously Guy  What exactly are you looking for?

I just can't believe he couldn't get enough photos back in 2010!!

Or he has just got tired of restoring old buses & cars :dozey:

I saw this at the top, and thought.."Roadie":D Dang-It!!!! What is guy working on?? I am thinking he is wall papering a room in his house:P
