I'm listening to The Police to get away from it all. Something totally different to keep my mind off it lol!

 

I've been listening to Non-stop Radiohead. Somehow I feel like that'll keep my mind off Coldplay. But, they're not entirely different are they.

I'm going to wait until I can get the full quality album. Whether that just turns out to be a rip from the Japan release or if I have to wait for the US release. I plan on taking it onto my back porch, playing it over the speakers while smoking a nice cigar and enjoying a glass of whiskey. I'm damned classy.

It still seems soooo far away. :sad2: Getting on the board doesn't help AT ALL. I made a pact with my friend that we would listen to it together on the 17th. It takes a lot of the pressure off because we are anticipating it together. That, and if I did listen to it behind her back, she would literally kill me. :laugh3:

I'm resisting still.

 

It's killing me.

 

I'm also forbidding my friend from listening so that it will be all the more exciting when we leg it to Woolworths in our free period on the 12th :)

oh God this is hard!!! :wacky: must resist leaks!!

It's getting harder as time passes, but it will all make up for it when we listen to it a week from now :D

 

The waiting part is almost as exciting as listening to the album, because you don't know what to expect yet. I mean, you know that it's gonna be brilliant, but the thought that there's 45 minutes of brilliance just waiting for you somewhere in near future is very exciting

As much as I admire you guys, you really ought to download it. Otherwise you'll have to spend an entire week here listening to people talking about it, and you'll miss all the fun :P

I haven't downloaded, nor do I want to before the CD comes out. I shall be patient.

 

I have 3 songs to keep me going, (and A Spell A Rebel Yell but I don't like it), and thats fine for like a week.

I almost cracked... I'm happy to listen to VLV, Lost, VH and LIT until the album comes out. This is soooooooooooo hard though I so want to listen to it :veryangry:

Still not listened :D I've got a Harry Potter book and loads of other music to keep me busy between now and the release date, so I'm happy.

Hello everyone, it's been 12 hours since my last check-in here to keep me on track with resisting temptation despite feeling like everyone on here has the album and is listening to it right now :freak:

 

It wouldn't be so hard if the forum wasn't dominated with reviews and polls on the album tracks....:\ I wanna listen tooooooooo!!! But I won't cheat myself with how far I've come and continue to wait it out.

This actually made me quite emotional yesterday. I thought "Why would anyone do that?" I feel like June 13th is the day I AM SUPPOSED to listen to it for the first time. I've had the day in my calendar for weeks, counting towards it. I have a big exam that day and can't wait to go to the record store afterwards, finally holding the album in my hands, and then listening to it for the rest of the day.

 

I feel like a true fan when I WAIT until this day, until the official release date. It's the date THEY give their music TO US. That's how I see it. So there's no way I'm gonna listen to it beforehand. On the computer. A simple file. No, thanks!!

While you choose to suffer, I enjoy the stomping, tired sounds of "Lost!" and the shining beauty and joy of "Strawberry Swing" through my top-of-the-line Sennheiser HD595 headphones. Music of this emotional clarity has not touched the ears of living humans till today, and God must be jealous of the effortlessness with which Coldplay & Eno seem to draw it down from heaven.

Well, I will buy the CD but I was curious to know how it sounds... I downloaded the CD :D And I found there some great songs! I have to say that the real versions of Lost! and Lovers in Japan really surprised me (especially the clapping in Lost!) :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

 

And I believe that Cementeries of London is the best song of the album ;)

 

I enjoy music (I am not a mazochist in order to punish myself :D:D:D:D) and I believe that downloading the CD doesnt show disrespect to our band! We would be disrespectful if we didnt buy the Cd.

Even though I am not listening to the album until release, and am avoiding other threads about songs, people who have heard the album - in this thread please try and leave the finer details to a minimum for the courtesy of others who want it to be a suprise :P :cool:

im still going strong from yesterday! :D...that was the most stressfully tempting day ever lol...as for people reviewing the album im happy iwth people saying its really good...then i know it will be very exciting :D
