Not sure. I want to hear it so bad, but I was looking forward to that first listen when I bought the cd and played it in my car at full blast.

it'll be hard, I know but i just want to do it the official way :cool:

go to the store after my exam to buy the cd and pick up the vinyl on my way, study the book on the bus and then home for THE first listen.

I just know that it'll be a whole better expirience to actually hold the bought cd and listen to it when I buy it, especially now that I know it's leaked.

I don't see the problem. As long as you are still going to buy it and keep this relatively to yourself, there is nothing wrong with this. Why conform to what the record label wants? Obviously coldplay doesn't care, or they wouldn't have played all of those songs on Jimmy Kimmel that we have seen...

 

But to each his own and i respect you guys for trying!

I'm just kind of annoyed that the forum is full of reviews and opinions about the album 1-2 weeks before the albums released. Kind of unfair to innocent coldplayers that are following the rules and waiting for the legitimate release.

I know I'm new but I'm just going to dive in so forgive me. Anyway put me on the list of those waiting. I'm kinda old fashioned that way, but yes its one heck of a temptation. And if my brother finds out it leaked he's going to be all over it, and then it will be played at ear bleeding volume in our garage. So lets just say for now I've decided against it. :\

Yeah I know, I'd buy the album anyway, doesn't matter if I download it, but it's more like a personal thing, I'd feel more satisfied if I bought it and listened, than downloaded it now.

 

It's just my feeling though, I don't blame anyone for downloading it, and I'd like to hear some opinions of you who heard it.

OH God, I came on and first saw this thread, then looked a little down the page and saw the IT'S LEAKED thread...and went right to it! hehe But I haven't even touched one link. I don't know how long I'll hold out though...

 

For me it's not so much a morality issue of "illegal downloading," (since I'll be buying the CD anyway) but more that I want to listen to the whole album beginning to end, like Coldplay intended it to be listened to. I've already heard a few songs about a billion times (Lost? VH, VLV) so I already kinda spoiled it for myself. But here in the US we're not getting the frickin' thing until the 17th!!! So I don'tk now if I can hold off that long...I might give myself a day and then see if the whole complete album is out, then be able to listen to songs in right order.

I refuse to listen to it. I had the rapidshare link ready to go, and i was a minute into downloading, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. There's something special about just sitting down and listening to an album with absolutely no clue whats going to happen. Unfortunately I've allowed myself to listen to almost half the album, but I still want to be surprised. The new stuff I've heard, and some other bands stuff (i know, its blasphemey:o), and I'll get through the next few weeks. I really don't think I'll give into temptation. But besides that, I hope everyone who does get it is still paying for the album, which I imagine all us Coldplay devotees would do anyways.

As someone who's heard the whole album now in drips and drabs I have to say all power to you guys - I'm jealous of what you've all got to look forward to!

I was weak, and once I'd heard one track I had to hear them all over the last week or two. That was one way to enjoy it - little by little (till today lol) but you have the chance to do it a very special way indeed - rushing home from the shop with the real cd and hearing it all at once.

 

All I can say is: have a stiff drink before you listen to it if you can, it'll help! :D
