BY FAR the end of DAAHF is in my opinion the best!!!!

 

I think this will beat X & Y and AROBTTH...but not parachutes!

Where did you guys get "Lost!" "DAAHF", "Life in Technicolor" and "the Escapist"? Can someone please PM me the links to those?

After the first hour, Strawberry Swing, Yes and 42 are my top 3.

 

I'd really love to hear the whole album in its entirety before ranking all of them.

I change cemeteries to a 8,5! now i get the clue of the song!

Obviously, I've only heard these songs a few times each, but so far:

As I expected, this album is almost certainly the best thing Coldplay have ever done. Even better than A Rush Of Blood To The Head. Without a doubt. If you listen to that album now, the number of weak tracks far outnumber on this album. Plus, musically, this album is LIGHT YEARS ahead of anything they've done before (except for a few moments on X&Y).

 

This is the album X&Y should have been - this is Coldplay's Great Leap Forward.

I think it's a good album, certainly a lot more experimental than their other stuff. All the songs are different though, something for everyone, but as a result I can't see why it would make a difference whether or not you listen to it all the way through or in pieces. Also I don't like the combined songs in that you can't listen to them individually, or skip them.

Definitely the album X&Y should have been. Obviously can't compare to the first two albums till I've heard it a few more times but I am very happy :)

well Chris himself was born and brought up there in britain.

 

so he can definitely and must get influence to sing about Cemeteries of London.(and yeah i love UK and english too).beautifull piano ending too.

 

Strawberry swings(this was one of my favorite songs ever since in the prospekt they've given that it'll be one of the songs on the album).

 

Reign of Love/Lovers in Japan so light and beautifull especially LIJ.

 

Life in Technicolor wow my favorite definitely.

 

Chinese sleep chant: i just died when i listened to it because i am a asian that too indian.we asians always want to listen to stuff like that well.(its my sentiment well).just like every others has a likening for their own places in the world.

I agree. I think it's a great album but it's not a 'classic' like some people have been saying. I'm not being negative i love the album and I love all the experimental eliments to it I just wouldn't say it's my favourite Coldplay album. But saying that I've only had it 2 hours :laugh3: 42 is a stand out track for me most defo! I think I've listened to that track more times than any of the other tracks :D Death and All His Friends is another highlight aswell :D

yea its the first album since The Arcade Fire's Funeral that i can listen to every song and not skip any. Brilliant 9.5/10

Chinese sleep chant has to be one of the most ambitious songs they have ever written.The fact that you cant hear the lyrics makes it even better.Probably the best track on the album
