That took a LOT of guts from Drogba.

The quality of penalties was incredible (Up until the last few obviously).

Commentators are so dumb, the reason they went from every penalty being scored to 3 in a row being missed is obviously because the quality of penalty takers got worse, yet every time it happens there is huge disbelief.

Also, on the Evra thing, I think he intended to shake Evra's hand, and Evra had his hand raised to everyone else, when it came to Suarez he lowered it just a little bit. Suarez initially was going to shake it and then saw it lowered and must have just thought "Well fuck this if hes going to be like that" and moved on. Evra knew exactly what he was doing, he is such a crafty little ****, and as soon as Suarez's hand went past his, he extended his hand out to make it look like he was being ignored and then made a huge deal about it.

I think Suarez is a bastard as well and ironically I'm glad that he's finally grown up and apologised for something, but I really don't think this was purely his fault. He could've made a bigger effort to shake it, but in that quick moment it's human nature to just avoid it, and it probably didn't seem to be as big of a deal if he thought Evra was refusing to shake his hand which a lot of people would sympathise with.

You can see directly after Evra does it he looks into a camera and points at Suarez, he's done him, very cleverly, what a dickhead.

When is the Champions League back on?

And more importantly for a Man City fan, when is the Europa League back on?

I hope we put a reserve team out.

We are much better than Porto, but they have much more epxerince in this competion than we do, and will be very determind to win as they are the current holders of the ROPEY cup !

This is what was shown during the live game:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJCDeo_SdIU&feature=related]Suarez gives no handshake to Evra | Manchester United vs Liverpool | 11.02.2012 - YouTube[/ame]

And this is another angle:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9G36QvAI4k]*PROOF* It was in fact Evra who refused to shake hands - YouTube[/ame]

The one I originally seen appears to be taken down, but it was more convincing in one live motion (Rather then this vid which stops and zooms in on the lowering) but you can still clearly see how Evra extends an open hand to the other players, above his belt line, he knows Suarez can see this, and its all happening so swiftly that when he lowers his hand towards his thigh Suarez is duped into thinking that Evra is actually rejecting his handshake. So he moves on to De Gea, as soon as Evra realises Suarez's hand has bypassed his, he grabs Suarez by the arm and major shit storm ensues. You can't see it in this video but as soon as Suarez walks away from Evra, Evra childishly turns to a camera and points at him, to me that leaves little doubt in my mind he knew exactly what he was doing and had planned this.

Brilliantly orchestrated, but what a bastard.

well, you sold me. Both suck balls, but Evra is a solidified dick.

This is really pissing me off.

I start by backing up Suarez to the hilt. Then that and now this........ !

I am going to forget about it, and the whole John Terry thing and concentrate on my own team and life..

^Does having opinions really result in allocating time in your life? So if you were to side with Evra, would it be an even busier week for you?

wow thats probably the stupidest thing to get mad about. a handshake. evra just a little girl. he has problems. calm down on the past evra. it has happened you don't gotta start more problems

Utd may win the league ! gutted... but that win on Saturday meant way too much to them !

it does not really make any difference what happens if Rangers go into adminstration.....

They will never be kicked out the SPL as much as Celtic hate them they are very needed.

Even if there is a future in a Euro Super League even in 20 years world elite leauge...Teams such as Rangers and Celtic would have to both be considerd sorley though their countless fan bass. Market Value... I am sure Celtic and Rangers are more well known before than City ever were ..

Wow you almost completed an entire post without mentioning the team you happen to support.

So close.

Oh Evra knew what he was doing. It was cleverly provocative. Only RTE in Ireland made the same observation as you did. The gutter English press - well let's just say Evra could have shot Suarez in the head and somehow Suarez would still be slaughtered.

And as for the Rangers situation, well it is desperate times. I don't have much time for Rangers but it would be a real shame if the worst was to happen. Administration is a real possibility now. As for complete extinction of the club - well that seems a bit too far to believe that will happen. Still it has happened to big clubs (relatively speaking) in the past. Fiorentina ("first incarnation") in 2002 for example. They were finished off with relegation in 2002 although the very power Rangers still commands in the SPL and the reality that they will always win trophies and gain possible access to the Champions League makes the chances of that happening very small I feel.

It's kindof weird that I never knew RTE made that observation despite living here, it was some caller disregarded as a 'loonie' on Talksport that pointed me towards it.

Ah the power of media.

We're only hearing one side of the story, the media are sticking up for Evra because he's the one who reported the incident, and also the fact he plays for media darlings Man United, we only get to hear his side of the story.

Ferguson can get his snout out too and worry about his own team, he didn't suggest Schemichel leave for calling Ian Wright a rascist name, he stood by his player all the time although Peter was in the wrong. The media never batted an eyelid at what he said to Ian, and only talked about the idea of "separating" them in the tunnel the next time they would meet. Schemichel is a prat and I don't blame Ian Wright for never liking him. Evra is a pathetic cry baby and made a huge fool of himself after the game with his dance, he's only throwing fuel on the fire just to get the media more and more on his side. Totally childish and loving every minute for all the wrong reasons. Suarez is trying to put the whole thing to bed, but Evra is dragging it on, which is damn right CHILDISH. I see De Prick got involved at the hanshakes podium, stupid dodgy prat of a keeper.

Makes me effin' sick all this Man United bias/favouritism does, hope Fergie leaves and sticks to his guns unlike the u-turn he made last time (Paul Scholes doing the same bleedin' thing), while his horrible scummy team rot and go bust.

Maybe he should leave too for saying "Typical Germans". He thinks he can say what he wants just because he's got "Sir" at the start of his name and manages the scum.

A centre-back for Glasgow Rangers in his playing days, hope his former playing team go bankrupt after todays administration, that way a part of his life has been taken away from him. Otherwise, I want to see them survive, because it is a sad story no matter if Fergie played for them or not.

I hate rascism, and totally loathe it for that matter, I'm not sticking up for Suarez it's just that we're only hearing Evra's side of the story all the time.

Well done to Zambia, those 18 players who lost their lives in 1993 were all playing with the team of today that night.

That Zambian team were totally promising and one of the best football teams Africa ever created, here's to their legacy the win goes to and may this Zambian team also continue on the 1993 team's legacy.

I see De Prick got involved at the hanshakes podium, stupid dodgy prat of a keeper.

De Prick LOL clever! I didn't see him 'get involved' he merely tried to shake the guys hand and let it go, that's unfair.
