July 16, 201214 yr Well it looks like Rogers has indeed rejected the loan offer, it could possibly get interesting, to be honest I really think if we're going to spend in excess of 10 or even 15 million for him (And to be fair, considering hes young and British, 20million isn't an unreasonable request considering we sold him for 35) then we'd be better off going elsewhere. With Graham Carr doubling or even trebling the value of nearly every major player he's signed, we can think of shopping for a better bargain. Not that we expect every signing to far exceed expectations, but hey, it's been going that way.
July 16, 201214 yr It's where Scottish football is now sadly. It was always pretty terrible but now it is appalling. Even the Celtic and Rangers teams from last season couldn't hold a candle to the Celtic and Rangers from 10 years back. The Celtic side at the moment isn't even good enough for the English Premier League. At best they are relegation fodder. It's only going to get worst, the best players will switch clubs as there won't be any competition All Celtic will get are the old players wanting a little extra retirement money

Liverpool did alright in minimizing the loss and they sold him on for an initial 12m, which rose to 16m in the next year from 2009-2010. And apparently Liverpool are interested in Theo Walcott. Yes please! Walcott's really come on in the last two years especially last season, setting up 12 and scoring 10. Even RVP thanked him personally for his contribution in his speech when he won the Player of the Year Award. Could be drawn to Liverpool - after all he is a Liverpool fan!

The post has since been removed, but not before it caused quite a stir among Liverpool and Fulham camps. Liverpool have been strongly linked with Dempsey this summer, but Fulham have moved to deny their star man has been sold. A Fulham spokesperson told BBC Sport: "It is totally not true. In other trafferer news, Lucas Moura just signed for PSG, they're acquiring a hell of a great bunch of team mates, lets see if it makes a great team. Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid on loan. Hoping Brendan Rodger's still has some decent links with Mourinho there. That said Arsenal have signed Cazorla from Malaga. Could be a very good signing for them.
August 8, 201213 yr The initial interest in Jordan Rhodes appears to be dying, if he was valued £3-4million (Which even the very best established players in the lower leagues would go for) he'd be gone by now, not sure if anyones willing to go up to £8m. If he just has a very good season at Hudd this year instead of an incredible one, this is his big chance to get into the PL right now.
