Portsmouth face Sol Campbell lawsuit

Former Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell is suing the Premier League club for unpaid fees and bonuses.

The 35-year-old, now at Arsenal, claims he is owed £1.7m in image rights and bonus payments following three seasons as a player at Fratton Park.

Pay up Pompey, Pompey pay up! :P

Southampton 1 match away from a trip to Wembley. British Airways sent me a "flights to London on sale now" email. Deciding match not to be played until mid February. Sale ends on Jan 28.

What to do, what to do.........

I know! I need to check at work and see if I have any vacation time left after me Coldplay trip. I looked at hotels and stuff last night. I need to check to see if they offer trip insurance that way if we don't go I could say something came up and get my money back.

OK March schedule arranged to allow for travel to Wembley. Flight and hotel are both on sale. COYR!

Travel research was all for nothing. Email from ticket office says I can't even have ticket unless I attend one of the qualifing matches. A stadium that seats 90,000, but I can't get a ticket. :(

So Reading can beat Liverpool, but the Spuds can't. Hilarious!

I don't think you understand how football works.

I don't think you understand how football works.

I think you'll find I do, as it happens.

And one thing I understand totally is that the Spuds are still sh1t!!

Every season they "kick off" with delusions of grandeur, and every season they fail miserably!:laugh3:

Whatever way you look at it, they lost to a poor Liverpool side this week.

No Gerrard, no Torres, no excuse.

Owen Coyle's Bolton bust-up with No1 Jussi Jaaskelainen over goalkeeping coach

Owen Coyle's Bolton reign has been rocked by a behind-the-scenes bust-up involving long-serving keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen. Sportsmail can reveal the 34-year old took exception to having former Burnley goalkeeping coach Phil Hughes thrust on him at the expense of his mentor Fred Barber. He then stunned Coyle by presenting him with an ultimatum. :laugh3:

Jaaskelainen was barely half-an-hour into his first training session with Hughes when he called a halt and told Coyle he wanted Barber reinstated. It is understood the former Finland No 1 was ready to demand a move, had the manager not relented.

Coyle had already told Barber to leave after deciding to bring in his own backroom staff from Burnley, but was forced to ask him to return. Barber accepted and is now listed alongside Hughes as joint-goalkeeping coach on Bolton's official website. Bizarrely, Hughes still takes his place on the bench on matchdays, but Barber has regained control of day-to day training.

Jaaskelainen's trust in Barber's coaching skills has grown steadily during a long-standing relationship, and he was horrified at hearing Coyle was dispensing with the old guard. The unwanted distraction could explain the keeper's uncharacteristic uncertainty of late, with some blame being attached to him for at least two of Arsenal's goals at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

Irrelevant. What I was saying was, if 1 team beats another, that doesn't mean all other teams of the same level/better should beat the team who lost, anything can happen in football.

Irrelevant. The simple fact is that Liverpool are playing extremely poorly and are missing their best players at the moment, yet a full-strength Spuds side still couldn't beat them. Therefore one can only conclude that yet again, Spuds have come up short.:smug:

Spurs are 4th in the league and have been playing amazing this season, you're just being silly really, you're in fucking League One, bitter?

Not at all. Given their many failures of late, I very much doubt Spuds will still be in that position come the end of the season. Once again, they are flattering to deceive.:smug:

I think they'll finish ahead of Liverpool at the end of the season, having a bad patch of form doesn't mean you are flattering to deceive

Well we'll just have to see who's right at the end of the season, won't we. I would say "history" is on my side, though.:smug:

Well we'll see. I still say Spuds will "fail" to live up to their deluded fans' unrealistic expectations, as they do every season.

Yet another fail for Spuds. Now they can't even beat Leeds at home!
