I'm not a fan of Robben but after getting stick through the whole game for playing poorly it was so funny to see him score a hell of a goal, and he's pulled them through again. I think they've all been poor comparatively poor, which is probably why the championship is such a close-run thing this time round.:dozey: Man U, for example, have been far too reliant on Rooney, players past their prime and others who aren't really "up to it" at the very highest level. It's been a bad year for English teams in the Champions league, but it's just one year, those 4 clubs still have an incredible amount of talent in their squad, and a lot of the same players which had seen the amazing CL record of all 4 teams for the past 5-7 years. If you think they aren't quite up to the quality of what they were then fair enough, I can see where you're coming from, but just articulate that point instead of running around claiming that any team or person who doesn't get consistently top results suddenly 'sucks' and should just be ashamed.

They're not really that "feared" any more. They've lost that air of invincibility they had a couple of years ago, and teams like Bayern (and even some in the Prem) have been exploiting that.;)

What's even stranger is how you seem to think that the entire league is represented by the top 3 or 4 clubs, in fact the reason Man U have been 'exposed' at times this year is because the all-round standard of the league is going up. To put things in perspective with the CL, Liverpool have had an awful season, I'll admit that they look a hell of a lot less of a team this year. Arsenal and Chelsea came up against very tough opposition, Barcelona are current treble winners and Inter are nearing a 3rd championship in a row (And they scraped past Chelsea), ideally you'd want to come up against teams of that class in at least the semi-finals. Man U came up against current Bundesliga champions Bayern (Currently topping that table this year) and they absolutely threw it away, it was theirs to win and was a shock result. Have some respect for the rest of the teams in Europe, Lyon knocked out Madrid after all! It's the toughest competition in the world, and for fuck sake, even though it's been the English teams worst season in Europe for 7 years, they still had more teams in the Quarter finals then Spain or Italy.
