I am sad... but we will beat spuds when we play them

and its getting worse for Chelski, second half only just started and all three subs used, and Drogba looks injured!

With Terry sent off, the other Chelsea players can't concentrate. They're all wondering whose wife he’s gone to fuck.

Nice result for Spurs, made the fight for fourth more competitive and turned the title race around.

Boo, we don't want Spurs getting 4th place cos they will go out at the first stage of the champs league qualifactions, at least Man City has a chance of getting to the group stages

They still have to play each other with City being at home so that might decide it all.

I hope the defeat does not hurt the squad to much. I think the local rags will do us a favour against spurs next week.

However I can not see us getting anything out of Arsenal next week.

Our crunch games will be Spuds, (H) Villa (H) and West Ham (A)

If you could deny 'Arry and send the Hammmers down, I will openly sing the praises of Cithey for the whole of next season. :D

I rarely bother coming in this thread due to Mark and his usual trolling, stalking me around threads last time I posted on here. (Didn't he say Spurs and City would be also-rans this season, as well as insisting Spurs would be relegated last season, when we almost made Europe - but then again he knows nothing about football, clearly - who does he support again?)

Our best performance of the season today (having watched every single game). We ran Chelsea absolutely ragged, and that was before Drogba's half-injury (hissy fit?) and Terry's sending off. I know I'm biased, but I honestly think that was the best team performance I've seen from anyone except Barca this season. We should have won by four or five easily. We held on by the skin of our teeth against Arsenal, and quite brilliantly, but this was an imperious display. I'm no great Harry fan, but my goodness even if we don't get fourth place today's performance made the whole season worth it.

(Having said that we still managed to almost contrive a draw in extra time - there's no relaxing as a Spurs fan until we're at least 3 goals up :laugh3:)

Also good to see Villa, Chelsea, Man Utd, City, even Arsenal fans on the hardcore football forums giving Spurs a huge amount of praise for today's performance. These last two games may be the high point of our season like I said, and if so I'll take that, and just look forward to European qualification next season.

Today was (almost) as good as beating Arsenal 5-1 :)

Even that's not good enough, remember Turf Moor Burnley last season!! :laugh3:

Exactly. It ain't over till the McManus sings!:P

Furthermore, it's about time people started to be able to take criticism of their football teams. At the end of the day, it's only a game after all, and the world isn't going to end if your team loses a match or gets relegated.

How people can take it so "personally" is beyond me.

I notice that Daryl has had people taking the p*ss out of City quite a lot, but I haven't seen him throwing his toys out of the pram.;)

Pompey have been the butt of quite a few jokes this season too.

I mean, seriously........................................... :dozey:

Liverpool's Fernando Torres out for rest of season - fact!

If Liverpool's hopes for 4th place weren't over already, they are now

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres will miss the rest of the season following knee surgery. The 26-year-old, who saw a specialist in Spain on Sunday, has been troubled by the problem for a number of weeks.

A Liverpool spokesman said: "It was decided that he would need surgery on a torn cartilage in his right knee. This will be carried out later on Sunday and, as a guide, the usual rehabilitation period for this type of procedure is around six weeks."

His fitness will be closely monitored by Spain manager Vicente del Bosque with Spain's opening World Cup game against Switzerland on 16 June. Del Bosque must submit his final 23-man squad to Fifa by 1 June.

Torres, who joined Liverpool from Atletico Madrid in 2007, will also miss out on a meeting against his former club in the Europa League semi-finals. The Spaniard has scored 22 goals in all competitions this season, despite being beset by various injuries.

He was sidelined for a month after a knee operation in January and before Christmas struggled with a groin injury.

It's funny how as it stands if Pompey win their appeal to play in europe next season, unless Liverpool wins the europa league they won't even be in that next year :laugh3:

As well as being the butt of the premiership :P

Well it's difficult to feel sorry for the club because of all the financial mismanagement, although I don't think you'll find there's much animosity towards the team itself (apart from Southampton fans, of course).

Liverpool have had a terrible season and don't deserve a European place anyway.

Silly man, don't you know that Mark is never accountable for what he says when he's wrong?

You know so little, young grasshopper.

The FA hate us, fact.

Although £119 million of debt doesn't help out :P

I'm afraid "you" brought it all on "your"selves. Sad, but true.:dozey:
