Viva la vida is an absolute disappointment

Featured Replies

Viva la vida is an absolute disappointment considering cold plays last three albums, Violet hill is the only decent track on the album, the rest is just garbage. Amazing to think after three years this is all the band could come up with, premature, not the real coldplay, NOT! impressed..

Mm

Welcome to the forum :)

i'm sorry you feel that way. and i'm confused tyhat you like x&y more

Coldplay's collective arse is officially twitching following the creation of this thread.

OMG....... get a blog.

An album can't pleased every tom dick and harry.

Some people were set out to hate this album even before it was finished

You create a new account and make this your first post? Being a REAL fan since Parachutes I can safely say that this album is amazing.

Your mom didn't seem to mind when we were playing the album while doing it in your bedroom.

Shame many people think this album is average or even rubbish like most of the reviews that have given it good but not great reviews as I really feel VLV is as good if not better than their other albums despite sounding different and I'm sure many people feel the same. I absolutely love this album at the moment.

Shame "Musicmad" decided to make his post and then leave without explaining his remarks.

Rather cowardly, don't you think?

Another troll:dozey:.

Viva La Vida is their experimental Album, U2's Unforgettable Fire was not that great, and they followed it up with the Joshua Tree. This is only Coldplay's fourth album, and the fact that they are as big as they are with only four is miraculous.

I reckon he's scuttled back under his rock, AKA atease.

hey... i'm new here but have been observing that forum for a while

i really don't understand why people still create new topics about the VLV being good or not. i think we should create two topics- one for fans of VLV and the second one for disappointed people. another good solution will be creating the general discussion upon that topic.

if it's about me, after hearing leaked songs i was afraid i will be disappointed with Viva la Vida but the album turned out to be amazing as a whole. it has been the most complex and coherent Coldplay album so far.

ive decided i love the album

ill admit some of the songs it took me a while to get into, like i only really fell for 42 after watching them live at the BBC. (in HD and 5.1 sound i would like to mention ;) )

but ive rated all the songs as either 4 or 5 starts on my media player haha :)

I would elaborate to say that they did not commit themselfs on this project (album) with the same dedication and effort as oppose to their other three previous albums, which i thought in my opinion were blockbusters. However Up untill now i was a dedicated Coldplay fan, but upon release of their new album i can only suffice to say i'm in shock!.

to think that once this band who produced such atmospheric deep and original melodic songs have either lost! there touch or because of their gained wealth and universal success thay perceive thay don't need to produce such raw material as inspiring, beautiful and touching as was with their last three albums, which where wonderfully harmonized and intricate with all those magical sounds which essentially make up what coldplay really! are, a beautifully talented band.

So have coldplay lost their touch??? or was this album just a failure???

Are these remarks satisfactory for you RedGirl76, or am i still a coward as you so politely put it. An uneducated response such as that, can only lead to contention on your behalf, believe me, diplomacy is far better then vulgarity...

Mm

You seem to think that everyone here REALLY cares what you have to say. Sure, you are more than entitled to have your opinion, but to go shoving it down everyone's throat? Not cool.

So sick of people deciding their opinion is SO freaking important that they have to spam this forum with these ridiculous posts.

Well hello there! welcome to the forum. I couldn't agree more with you about the album. I mean, IT REALLY SUCKS DOESN'T IT!?? I can't stand it when he sings those songs because it doesn't sound like them anymore... it's like, CHRIS MARTIN, WHERE ARE MY OLD SONGS AT?? WHY'D YOU CHANGE!? Yeah, i so agree with you. Thanks for creating this thread.

WHY MUST WE HEAR THIS SAME EXACT THING A THOUSAND TIMES IN A THOUSAND THREADS!!!!!!! :bigcry:

Your mom didn't seem to mind when we were playing the album while doing it in your bedroom.

I am ashamed that I find your comment funny enough to laugh out loud. Maybe I just don't have enough laughs but in my life right now as well as like Mike Myers, I like stupid and intelligent humor, but still, that was a stupid funny joke, but still creative enough to get a thumbs up.

Your comment about them not being committed to this project is absolute tosh. They have been working on this for the best part of 2 years.

I don't see how you came to the conclusion that this album lacks harmonies and intricate, magical sounds - this album is full of them!

There are very few people that would agree with that Parachutes and AROBTTH were "Blockbusters". Granted, their worst album X&Y was, but you have greatly misclassified them. I refuse to believe that anyone who was a fan of their first three albums would completely "HATE" VLVODAAHF. Rank it as your least favorite and you'll be questioned, say it is an absolute disappointment and be prepared to be verbally douched.
