by the way, it seems only Will been to see U2....plus you don't need days to fly back to the UK from the States.

P.

There you go! At least Mr. Champion did it to U2's gig! How nice of him :smartass2:

And yeah you really don't need days to fly from London to New York, it's a 7 hour flight. But I am sure that they did this in order to go to U2's concert. Apparently, Mr. Champion was the only one caught in the concert; I wonder now where were the other Coldplay members. :dozey:

Oh well, I am happy for them that they enjoyed U2's gig at Wembley yesterday. I'd do anything to see them, as I will in the first week of October! :smug::wink3::wacky:

Darn, I was just about to go to bed because I have a travel day tomorrow, and you inform me that Coldplay is on SNL tonight. I don't have my VCR connected, but I guess it would be worth it to record their performances. I believe I missed the original airing of this show, unless it's the one in which Chris dramatically looks at the camera after singing the song "Yellow" and simply says, "Barrack Obama." That was unforgettable.

... and how can one possibly overload on Coldplay? I live, sleep, and dream Coldplay.

I ended up watching SNL and saw Coldplay's performances ... They sang three full songs: VLV, Lost and Yellow. They also sang "Lovers in Japan" during the closing credits. This was Coldplay's performance of Viva La Vida that grabbed me and from that point there was no turning back from becoming a full-fledged Coldplay fan. Chris' performance on TV is quite different from the live concert performances. He seems a little more subdued. In the concerts, he's completely in his own element, and he's like a king in his castle. There was no audience sing-along during Viva La Vida. Somehow, he seemed a little more tense, compared to the concerts. ... and he did say "Barrack Obama" at the end of "Yellow!" He kind of sang it after the last line: "And they were all yellow." <= Chris Martin

oh....no overload on my side either. I am the same way Starfish. I have my alarm clock wake me up to coldplay every day. i listen to it on the way to work...on the way home to work. i watch vids of them on youtube all the time (i even watch all the Lost! competition vids just for fun).

Yeah I caught this on the original airdate back in October. All of Coldplay's tv appearances are usually subdued (unless you consider the Late Night with Conan O'Brien's version of Talk subdued - Chris went into the studio crowd!). I've been to enough concerts to know that when you are in your own element..you feed off the crowd. And Chris is almost maniacal when he persforms in concert! That's why I try to see them every chance I get!

Hey-Haven't been on in a few days, any news of a reschedule? Prolly not, huh? :(

They didn't cancel Tampa to see U2, Chris was ill that's why the cancellation of Tampa happened (postponement), Do you really think they would be so shallow and selfish to cancel out because they wanted to see Bono??? If anything they would have cancelled cause Chris needed to find a Hair stylist:laugh3:

CHRIS MARTIN PLEASE DON'T CUT YOUR HAIR:laugh3: I bet it's cut for tonight's gig.

We are all in the same overload then, cause most of the time I am driving for a living and altho I don't need an alarm clock, I pop in my first cd, and during the day change to another one, when I am in the shop, I pop in the CD's and turn it up. Good thing my co-worker/friend I work with likes them.:D I watch the Threads different tour vids from this tour, then search You-tube for stuff.:embarassed:

Someone had audio recorded the last concert I was at. I downloaded it right away, but it wasn't until yesterday that I managed to finally get it in my itunes library. I spent hours trying to get it in the correct format, and labeling and organizing the setlist in the right order. Oh my gosh - while i had awesome memories of the concert, it's like sensory overload, and listening to just the audio, I missed so many of the things that Chris said - his random fuck-ups, his improvs, his "let's go boys," and he did a lot of shout-outs. I had no idea he had done so many shout-outs. We knew one of the girls, because we spent time talking to her waiting for the meet and greet. It's funny, I went to 2 shows, 2 nights in a row, but it's the second show that had way more impact and it's the one I want to remember. Both were fantastic, but I suppose it's the memories of meeting Will and Chris and how much better our seats were, and all the pictures I took.

So I did email Anchorman last week, with our pics from Tampa, but I never heard anything back - oh well, I supposed I'm glad to see the puppets are doing well in Denmark.

hey, everyone-I've been MIA since I had to come back to school for classes monday

I wonder if Chris's hair will be cut tonight...I'm guessing it would be, but maybe he's trying to stick it out until Wembly...that, ahem, Tracey will be at!! :D awesome!

about the earplugs thing...I remember going to concerts when I was younger and have ringing or can't hear the next day, but now I'm absolutely fine...is that bad? I hope not...I remember for my first Coldplay concert, I had earplugs on during the opening band, then took them out before Coldplay started and told my mom "fuck it, if I'm going deaf because I'm at a concert, it's because I'm at a Coldplay concert" :laugh3:

when do you guys think there will be a latin america tour? because wouldn't they all want to take a few months off when they're done with wembley ( or going to tampa right after) and spend time with their families, since they haven't seen them for long periods of time in over a year?

Not to criticize the person who originally postulated this theory, but I agree with you Tracey, that Coldplay is not so shallow as to cancel a gig because they wanted to see U2. Frankly, that theory is shallow and ridiculous! Coldplay is perhaps the greatest band on Earth. If not, they are on their way to becoming the greatest. They could not have cared less that U2 was playing. Besides, some people have commented that U2 has been on the decline for many years now, while Coldplay has moved far ahead, excelling what U2 ever did.

did you get that link i sent MartinFan?

Yes I did, I sent a email back to you:) I loved it, it was very cool seeing the stadium and I love that song!!!!

The Irvine show?? Where can I get the audio for it?? :) I <3 to have it!!

I went to 3 shows in a row, and the last one had the most impact on me as well. It was the best Coldplay concert I have been too (so far ).

The recording for Irvine is amazing. I keep listening to it. You can find it here. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60042 It's a .rar format, so I don't know if you know how to convert it. I had a hell of a time getting it to my itunes, then on to my iTouch. It has everything from blue danube, to viva remix and the escapist.

Thanks! And nope, I have no idea how to convert it. How do I go about that? (I have a PC...).

I'm thinking they might be back in January or February. By then it will be summer in South America, so they might stop on their way there. Also, that gives them time to rest and spend the holydays with their families.

I would guess that the Ford holds around 25-30,000 people at an average ticket price of $90 that's 2.7 Million bucks that Live Nation has of our money that they are just drawing interest on before they have to give it all back.

Ford holds 20,000 (1/2 under cover, 1/2 lawn).

Coldplay should not let fans hang in limbo like this. 10 days is enough time to give an update. If they are considering Nov, I would wait until they announce the date. But if they are looking at "sometime next Spring", I don't want to tie up money for over a year, when I might not be free on the eventual concert date.

I called LN (800-431-3462) and they will issue refunds now. I confirmed they give refunds "when a reschedule date hasn't been announced", and the agent said yes, "since the show was postponed".

I'm just going to buy new tickets, once a new date is announced (and probably get better seats, even tho I bought tickets at 9:59am the 1st day).

LN should put up a question similar to this one:

Q: How can I receive a refund for the postponed Aerosmith concert at Charlotte or Raleigh?

A: The Aerosmith concerts at both the Charlotte and Raleigh Amphitheater have been postponed, however, we do not have a rescheduled date at this time. Please return to our website for continuing information. Your tickets will be honored for the future show date.

If you would like to request a refund and you received your tickets through will call or print at home delivery please reply to [email protected] with your request, the order number from your purchase, and the last 4 digits of the credit card used for purchase.

If you received your tickets through regular mail the tickets must be returned to us for refund. We suggest you use USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation using the following address:

That makes 3 of us. I enjoyed the second Coldplay show I attended more than the first, the day before. I was afraid Chris Martin would be tired the second day, but I was pleasantly surprised that Chris actually seemed more energetic, perkier than the day before, and his voice sounded strong and sure. Like Diane, I also had much better seats the second night, too. Chris asked us if we were feeling energetic, perky and ready to have a good time. He's the most amazing person I've ever known of, for his effect on others. People say it's his charisma, but I think it is a profound sense of knowing himself and of realizing his potential. He's very self-realized, in short, he's a genius.

I'm in Agoura Hills, near LA today. I and my co-worker got free airline tickets yesterday for volunteering to give up our seats and to take a later flight. Now Tampa is a possibility if they ever announce the new date, though I have other responsibilities that might take priority. I feel that there is something in play from above in my Coldplay ventures.

Ah, you're in the Valley today. Hot and smoggy. I'm about 70 miles south. Good news about the free ticket - I tried to give up my seat when I left Tampa, but there were some no-shows at the last minute and they put me on the plane  An extra hour of waiting would have been worth the Delta voucher.

Yeah, one of my co-workers was put on the plane because he had reserved a seat. This was United.

Smoggy... I thought it was just foggy! But this is LA, after all!:laugh3:

My email from Babelgum today!!

Tomorrow Julia, when will be back in office, will take care of flight and hotel.
