I started doing the survey - it said you had a chance to win livenation season pass - but one of the first opitons was "my show was cancelled or postponed." When I clicked that, it apologized and exited the surver - not even a chance to enter the drawing. grrrr, still totally bummed out.

I just checked British Airways and the cheapest flight is just under $1,200 for San Francisco / London RT. Included in this are taxes and fees of $380! Winning the Babelgum contest was a very valuable, not just for the expense savings, but for the unforgettable concert experience that you will have. Coldplay's last Viva show of the tour. It will be packed with emotion. You're living the dream!

Haha, if you were canceled, they don't even want to hear from you because they know you will be angry! Cute.

Everyone tends to blame LiveNation, but I don't think it is LiveNation's fault that the concert was postponed. It was "due to the illness of the artist."

At both shows that I attended, the guest services were excellent. I don't know if that's to LiveNation's credit or the venues'. At Shoreline, a friend of mine had a sprained ankle and could hardly walk, even with crutches. They got her a wheelchair to carry her from the parking lot and gave her and her party upper level ramp seats even though they had lawn tix. At Sleep Train, they gave me earplugs because I had forgotten mine in the car. On the other hand, I didn't appreciate the big black lady who warned me about exceeding the bounds of the area in front of my seat. In that sense, they treat people like children.

LiveNation is taking the heat as the one available to blame, but the show's being canceled was beyond its control. I know you don't want to blame Chris Martin because we love him, but it appears that he was the artist whose illness resulted in postponement.

Oh, we're not blaming livenation for cancelling the show, but for the email they sent out asking for us to review the show, when they're also the ones who sent out the email telling it was postponed in the first place! If they can target Coldplay ticketbuyers for updates and announcements, then they can adjust their program to not ask how it was.

Exactly. It only highlights how generic their "customer service" is.

It was the first thing that popped in my head when I got that email.

Starfish, just wanting to know.... WHAT THE HELL DID YOU NEED EAR PLUGS FOR???:P The louder the better!!!! You wouldn't be able to drive in the car with me and my Bose speakers:D

Oh and I love Chris Martin, I love Chris Martin, I love Chris Martin... LOL LOL

Ha ha, I remember going to concerts way back when, like Journey, Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, where my ears would ring for days. Back then it was all about the loudness, now speakers have been refined so you can actually hear the music, and it's comfortably loud instead of earsplitting loud.

Right Dianne, Aerosmith back in the mid seventies was wicked loud, couldn't understand anything... LOL at Journey, i saw them too back when Journey was Journey!!

We have tickets to Aerosmith on Aug 23. And uh, AC/DC on Sept. 8. This was my Coldplay compromise with my husband - but he may be taking one of the boys to Aerosmith. We are all going to AC/DC - everyone should see Angus Young once in a lifetime, right? And um, I'm taking my 10yo daughter to see Miley Cyrus on Sept. 23. I would trade all of those for Will, Jonny, Chris and Guy, easily. lol

Sorry Dianne, Aerosmith has cancelled their summer tour as of yesterday, Tyler fell off the stage at Sturgis and broke his shoulder:( Lots of Aero peeps on their boards are pissed!!

Oh man, I hadn't heard...livenation didn't send me an email - they were sure on the ball with Coldplay's announcement.

Sucks!!!Now if the others cancel your hubby will have to take you to Wembley;)

Miley Cyrus is such a great influence for children :D

Yeah - 4 AC/DC tix weren't cheap. Hmmm...

Jez Dianne, you are like a curse on bands! :laugh3:

Well to make myself feel better, I just bought myself a ticket to Depeche Mode for Aug 30th. I was supposed to work that day but they needed someone to switch so now I can go.

I wholeheartedly agree :P

Yeah, just stay away from me this week. But oooh, Depeche Mode. fun. I was thinking about buying tix to Goo Goo Dolls, but they're doing some funky concert where they perform live while professional figure skaters skate to their music. I'd still rather see Coldplay. I'm slowly getting over the disappointment, but I wish we had something to look forward to. Well, that is, for those of us who aren't going to Wembley (ahem, Angie and Tracey).

:curtain::bigcry::kiss: I am thinking of doing some kind of blog on this thread while I am gone if there is internet access, if not I can text or call Dianne and she can relay it, don't ask me to twitter I have no idea how to do that.:D

I wholeheartedly agree :P

Thank you for picking up on my sarcasm :)

Yeah, well, just you wait until you have a 10 year old daughter, and have Miley Cyrus, High School Musical and iCarly equivalents. The things we do for our kids...

My kids won't grow up on that. I'll be shoving Beatles albums in their face at birth. WELCOME TO THE WORLD KIDDO. THIS IS WHAT REAL MUSIC IS ALL ABOUT.

Yeah, well, I've been doing plenty of shoving - it doesn't work, believe me, I tried. But now that my sons are 16 and 13, they're musically acceptable. :laugh3:
