Anchorman wrote back! I had emailed him a note with the "Coldplay-shaped fans on tour in Tampa" pictures that we took.

He said, "Thanks for the pics Dianne - glad you guys managed to have some fun in

Tampa despite the cancellation.

Anchorman"

Not a lot, but at least it's a reply from someone in the Coldplay organization. The word "cancellation" concerns me, though...because "cancellation" is way different than the last official word of "postponement."

 at least someone in Coldplay's world know what cheesy things we had to do to not think about the show :P

Now if I could convince them do something in Udine to make up for me not seeing them in Tampa would be great, since I will never be able to make it to rescheduled show (whenever it will be announced), unless they want to pay for my flight and hotel and call my boss to say I must go :laugh3:

I'm trying to be positive, and just because I'll see them in 9 days, otherwise I would still be pretty down for the cancellation. :(

And I wouldn't worry for the world cancellation instead of postponement, as mrman78 said the show on that day was actually cancelled, but it's going to be organised for another day..now I really hope for everyone they're going to announce the date soon, even tough, if they're really attaching it to the Latin American tour, it might take a few months, as it seems they haven't finalised those dates yet.

Let's keep our Coldplay spirits up!!! They will come back, they will not forget us, and we shall all meet up and have lot's of talks and a few drinks, hell we could even prick our fingers and become ColdBloodPlayers for life..... Well maybe not the last bit.... LOL LOL LOL.

Denise, lucky you...only 9 days and then Wembley :). I keep checking on flights to London, but it's still over $800 for a flight, plus hotel, so I just don't think it's going to happen for me. We just had to pay a lot in school fees for my 2 boys.

I'm sure they'll make an announcement sometiime, and I'll do my best to get back to Tampa.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the price of flight to drop, it would be great if you could come..there's still a month, you never know, I saw my flight to London is cheaper now than when I booked it (damn :P)

Mr. Mann78, your gif of Coldplay's swinging around the sparklers is one of the most beautiful that I've seen. In it, you can clearly see who each band member is with a sparkler, which is a rare thing to capture because they have the lights turned off at that point, and they are standing behind the sheer black gauze curtain. Only a perfect side view from the pit could capture that!

Have you posted any clips to Youtube, and if you have, what is your SID?

Austingirl had some excellent clips from the Texas shows, some in HD.

I loved the sparklers. I got a pic from the side of Jonny with hisDSC_0009-1.jpg

A sweet video of the Coldplay concert experience, which brought tears to my eyes remembering my own. Something about the sound of the opening and closing melody of "The Escapitst" I find deeply moving. It also touches me that others are so deeply affected as to fly from far away to see them and then to make a video to share their Coldplay experience:

Thanks Reggie, those 2 kiddos were sweet, and it was a cleaver way they did the video, very nice, thanks for sharing!!!

Wow, Diane, you were close to the stage! No wonder it was such a great show for you. In fact, it looks as if you must have been very close to the two kids from Colorado, who were also on Jonny's side of the stage. I see the sparklers have bent handles that allow them to spin them around easily, but at least until they burn down, they are so long that it looks as if they have to hold them far away to keep from hitting themselves!

Haha I was actually behind Mekayla (if it's spelled wrong..sorry!) and her bro at that show. I like the video she made.It really captured the "Coldplay experience"! That was the show where we could see the side of the stage and got to see Will and Guy rocking out to one of the opening bands. :) Being that close, you can totally see what they are doing behind the curtain, it's great! :D

While I was at the show in Carson Saturday night, which is the one in Makayla's video, the sparkler picture is from Sunday's Irvine show. Saturday's show was great, I had my 13 year old son with me and he was totally embarrassed by his mom dancing and singing like a maniac, but we were in the 19th row behind the pit. Sunday's show, we had orchestra seats, right on the side aisle that they come up to get to C stage. Two totally different experiences for me - location makes a huge difference!

I love Makayla's video - she and her brother are lucky they're such great friends, too. I hope when my kids get older, they get along like Makayla and her brother :)

This is my humble video of the sparkles. Is better if you watch it in HQ. You may want to get those earplugs to listen to it. I went completely bananas when I saw them that close. :laugh3:

I enjoyed the Coldplay exprience from those kids. Thanks Starfish!

They were the first ones on line, they should have run for a center spot.

Hey Starfish42! It is not my video, I'm afraid. It is from one of the California shows. Prospekt made the GIF (it's actually longer than the one in my sig), so I'm not sure of it's origin. I have posted my videos on YouTube from the three TX shows, but most of them were not that amazing, ha. I got some pretty good ones though in Dallas. My sn on there is dinoman1.

thats Makaylas vid!!!:D

The one in my sig? If so, I should credit her too! What's her sn?!

cool vids guys...if you have more folks that have posted their experiences..let us know! it's really neat to see how passionate everyone on this forum is....i dig it a lot! take care!

I enjoy how we all come to this same Tampa thread and just "hang-Out", like it's our own little Coldplay World:)

I like your video...it was funny to see that roadie kneeling down on the left side - wonder what he was doing?

I like our little world.

@Dianne:) Last day of summer vacation for the kids, and I have nothing going on. I am bored, and must find something other than sitting here reading reviews and watching the vids from Last night:lol: Maybe I will lay out by the pool:\ course once I get ready to do so, the Florida rains will be here:D

I hear you. My 10 year old is at a 2 day sleepover birthday party, my 16 year old son went back to Disneyland this morning - and drove himself, only slightly terrifying for me, my husband is watching the European Grand Prix and hopes Lewis Hamilton will win, my other son is still asleep, and I should be cleaning up because my dad and his family are coming over this afternoon...but where am I? Right here at the computer. It's going to be really hot in Orange County today - I can already tell.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get two of R#42's videos on my ipod. I've downloaded them, they're in mp4 format, but can't for the life of me figure out how to convert to ipod format - even apple 2nd level tech support couldn't help me, so I wonder if they're protected or something? And I've spent way too much time on it so far, but it's so freaking frustrating.

This thread is going to become so huge!

Going to? :laugh3:

Seriously, though, I am getting a little upset that those of us still holding tickets for this show haven't received any sort of update. Even an email saying "we're still working on it" would be appreciated. Other than the original two emails announcing the delay (the first with the announcement and then the second with the "oops, we listed the wrong time in that announcement" info), I've heard nothing. The week after the postponement I sent an email to LiveNation, asking when we might hear something. The response I got back was basically "we don't know anything".

I just sure hope that this show IS indeed rescheduled. If not, it's pretty lousy of them (with "them" being the promoter and the band's booking agency, not the band themselves) to string us along this long.
