Thank you - I'll be here waiting for that phone call.

CRAP!!! Chrissy got a haircut!!!:chris::whip::chris::smash::bomb::bomb: DANG-IT! He has exactly 4 weeks to grow it back out or I am not going across the pond to see them:P

AMEN!!!

I love his curly locks too!

And by the way, don't hold your breath. Remember last year? He shaved it around this time, and for some reason by November it barely grew out. It was still too short for me. I'm just glad I saw him from the front row this summer.

:shocked2:  :wink3:

cause i've been waiting for days and days and days

:DYes I am afraid you would be waiting for that call:D;):kiss:

He looked pretty neat when I saw him, curly blond hair, but I think he looks neat with a crew cut as well. He's sharp looking in any disguise. Even in the Nappies video, when he is trying to be ugly, there is something sharp about him that comes across.

In Carson, when he was singing Viva La Vida, he put his down mic down and let a young lady sing, "Long live the king!" I thought his curly hair looked particularly good in that clip.

I can't believe how superficial that sounds. The truth is I love him no matter what his hair looks like, but he is especially good looking with short to medium curly hair, or a crew cut. Because he has curly hair, it can look unkempt when it gets too long... the price of beauty is high.

Martin Fan, you are just a Wembley ticket tease. I don't think anyone could pry those tickets from your hand if you were on your death bed! :D

Yes Reggie, I am a Wembley Tease but dianne knows if I didn't have a hubby, I would have took her without batting an eye:)

Chris is a hunk with or without the long curls, but I prefer the longer look:wink3:

Thank you - I'll be here waiting for that phone call.

could i fight you for the tix? lol i think chrissys hair is amazing and luscious short or long.

:)

i cant understand what will happen with this show. Seems counter-productive to fly to America for 1 show.

Looking at the new stage for the European leg of the tour is making my heart hurt. It looks friggin' amazing!!! Plus Chris cut his hair, and because I've had a crap day, looking at those pictures has been the highlight. Yes, I know: It's kind of pathetic.

The Tampa show didn't go on, but I feel a slightly painful post-concert depression coming through :( I guess I'll browse through all the pictures I ended up taking during this tour... Hope all of you are staying strong at least, lol.

Slightly off-topic - for Diane

Diane,

We drove past the Home Depot Center in Carson today during our tour of the company's service area. I was surprised that it looked more like a sports venue than an amphitheatre, though I only saw it from the road. I thought, how small the world is that just a month ago, Coldplay performed there, and here I was 500 miles from home. I only wish I could have been there to see the show...

Palos Verdes is one sprawling community of multi-million dollar homes. It is another world entirely of its own... a very different place than anything I had ever seen before. I had never seen so much wealth concentrated in one community in my life. I'm not sure I could relate to that style of life. For that matter, Torrance is one of the most beautiful and elegant areas I've ever seen. The houses appear beautiful and very well kept. Elegant beauty is the best description of Torrance. The weather here has been perfect, cool and foggy in the morning, clearing to sunny and warm with steady, cooling ocean breezes.

This is one of the highest income areas I've ever seen. An example of how people live here is that the Cheesecake Factory on the waterfront only had valet parking, yet there was a half hour wait for a table there. All of the parking lots of the restaurants along the waterfront were gated for paid parking. This is a scale of living that's entirely foreign to me, yet people around here don't seem to mind it at all.

I'm impressed at how much industry there is scattered all around the south bay area. Huge fuel tanks dot the landscape, also huge industrial warehouses and factories. We saw several oil wells in the southeastern part of Dominguez. I think this area is one of the economic powerhouses of California. That helps to explain the affluence of this area. After seeing this area, I feel like a pauper with my little condo in San Francisco. I can imagine that people who grow up here have a very different view of the world than those from average or poorer neighorhoods.

Tomorrow, we finish out field trip with a tour of the Hermosa-Redondo Beach area.

Reggie, the Home Depot Center is a big sports complex, with tennis courts as well as the stadium that is home to David Beckham (for now at least) and the LA Galaxy and Chivas MLS teams. Palos Verdes reminds me of Moraga or Layfayette in the East Bay. It's a nice area. Torrance was a great place to grow up - at least it was 30 years ago. I haven't been back for awhile, but it's surprising to me how many of my high school friends have stayed in the area. As far as the gated parking, it's to keep the beach goers from parking in their lots, as parking is at a premium there. I spent all the years of my childhood at Torrance and Redondo Beach. You are lucky to live in San Francisco, little condo or not. My husband worked in the city for years, for the Public Utilities Commission, next to the Opera House.

Anchorman wrote back! I had emailed him a note with the "Coldplay-shaped fans on tour in Tampa" pictures that we took.

He said, "Thanks for the pics Dianne - glad you guys managed to have some fun in

Tampa despite the cancellation.

Anchorman"

Not a lot, but at least it's a reply from someone in the Coldplay organization. The word "cancellation" concerns me, though...because "cancellation" is way different than the last official word of "postponement."

Dianne, that word disturbs me too:confused: I am so glad they emailed ya back, at least someone was paying attention. I just can't imagine why Management has not made some kind of statement concerning Tampa. I truely believe they are working out details on getting back here one way or another.

Yeah..."cancellation" seems more final than "postponement" wow...not a good way to start the weekend...but i remain upbeat! have a good weekend everyone!

Yeah I know...

And I'm wishing your husband happy, healthy thoughts for the next 3 1/2 weeks, and that he won't get called into work last minute. But just in case, I'll be here, passport in hand. Just letting you know...

Yep - we know how you feel. Why do I torture myself with looking at the amazing European pics? Although, I'm not a big fan of huge stadium shows, so that's some consolation. My idea of hell would be to be in the middle of that mob.

I'm hoping I am not in hell too!!!

That huge screen looks amazing on the Speed of Sound video. Wow :shocked2:

But I don't think that screen would fit in the Tampa amphitheater :)

2 new songs. That is great!!

ahh!! cancellation?? :bigcry:

I hope he just forgot to say postponed!

Yeap, let's hope it was a mistake

I emailed him back to clarify - lol - wonder if he'll respond again?

Who is Anchorman anyway? Prospekt is Phil, right. Then Roadie#42 is Miller...

I wouldn't fret too much. Brits sometimes use cancellation and postponed synonymously (ie - the show on the original date was cancelled, but will be rescheduled to another date), so I think we are safe for now... or at least in my neck of the woods it was used. Not sure about those Londoners, it might be a regional thing! ;)

I remember one time that a show I was going to was 'cancelled' and the girl at the box office said something like "oh it's been cancelled, but keep your ticket since it's going to be rescheduled to a later date..."
