this is such an emotional song... it's so great. I really associate a lot of their music with imagry of nature. Like for this i imagine driving right before dawn, and when it crescendo's towards the end the sun is just rising or breaking through clouds... what breathtaking music!

yea this is a great song....im just waiting for somebody to use it as a movie trailer song, every time i hear it, if i was making a movie i would use it in a trailer.

You Raise Me Up- Josh Groban

How To Save A Life- The Fray

You Could Be Happy- Snow Patrol

Home- Michael Buble

Motorcycle Drive By- Third Eye Blind

Travelin' Soldier- Dixie Chicks

I don't have a video but Running To Stand Still by U2 always makes me cry

YouTube - Sigur Rós - Festival[/url]

Exactly. This made me cry when I saw it live..!

And another one I can think of is Von by Sigur Rós (the Hvarf/Heim version) So beautiful.

yeah i know that one too

we can also add Glosoli by Sigur Ros

Pathetically, back when I saw the How To Save A Life video by The Fray for the first time, I got really teary-eyed. Crap, that's a good video. The song's okay, but the video is awesome.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

Let Down by Radiohead

....always always get me.

How are so many people are crying to upbeat, happy songs like hoppipolla and glosoli? You'd think sad songs like Vaka or fljotavik would make a whole lot more sense.

You and Me, Lifehouse

Let there be love, Oasis

your hand in mine--explosions

:thumbsup::clap:

one of the most powerful songs ever

The only song that's ever made me cry is Gravity, by Coldplay (I know, I know, you said non Coldplay songs). But I've cried while listening to plenty of other songs, but it was more because of the situation than the song itself.

That song makes me cry, too. Gravity and Prospekt's March.

The only song besides a Coldplay song to make me actually cry would be:

The line, "I will see you in the next life" always gets to me.

Oh...and the John Lennon singing "Imagine." I forgot that one. Nobody else's version, just John's.

Ooo...one more. Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World".....because if you really stop and think about the lyrics....it will make you cry.
