June 7, 200917 yr Yeah like the new stupid quizzes "What I kind of hair colour do you have?" I know my own haircolour dammit why would I possibly want to take the quiz
June 7, 200917 yr I got Facebook for some weeks ago.. then I removed it. (or de-activated) Reason? It's boring, boring, boring. And makes you realise who few persons you actually know.. :disappointed: Yeah, that's why once in a while I delete people from my "friends" list. however, one good thing about the latest layout of FB is that you can make "friend lists" which allow you to classify people (i.e. relatives, classmates, party buddies, etc), and then just see the info of the list you want. ... weird that.... and i also get that... ... you can do that: check on your configuration there and untick the option that people can send you that. (if you do that then you can't sent people those requests too, i don't know why the options have to reciprocate in that social network). i just check them when i'm really bored, and plus i never send those things to other people because i know it can be so annoying get that request again and again from different people. And that is why I don't have 3rd party applications, just the original Facebook apps (pics, video, notes, groups, events, marketplace) The 'ignore all' button is your friend Ian :D Yes, that button is my friend  ^ Facebook is totally useless... except when you wanna stay in touch with friends you don't see anymore or share pics ! ... and for condom tests too :sneaky: :P For 4 months, I checked FB once a week, but now I visit more often because I use it to communicate with family far away. I guess it depends what you use FB for. You see, if you have good friends, not morons, that wouldn't happen. Don't blame facebook for your friends being special I remember when Apps were the new thing, so damn annoying to get 389432843 request about adding apps. Then, the Ignore Button was created, and the rest is history...:P :P one of my 'friends' just took a how Sexy are you quiz on FB...and they got 72% sexy...and I'm thinking, really, wow...couldn't tell by your picture... :embarassed: sorry, I'm mean... :shame: they're just so predictable, the quizzes. Gosh, just when friends stopped sending stupid apps requests, the quizzes show up. WHY people do them!? They are SOOOO stoopid :dunce: Until the "hide" option was created... :P
June 7, 200917 yr Ohh the quizzes are so dumb like What will your future husband's initials be, yes now I know and I'm going to go look for a person whos name starts with exactly those two letters.:dozey:
June 7, 200917 yr The only things I ever get on facebook are friend requests, updates (usually from you/Coldplaying, Ian!) and event invitations. I've never received condom quiz requests or anything. :uhoh:
June 7, 200917 yr That's why they're my friends  :nice: Good point!:P Myspace all the way. You have myspace?:surprised:
June 7, 200917 yr I don't understand why people are so addicted to it  Same thing happened to me few month ago I've been away from the site for 3 weeks when I came back I had 278 requests:angry: that's when the ignore all button is needed no ignore button. if you want to take a quiz or something do it, but don't send the request to other people, "skip" button is very useful ;) i did an strategy and seems that didn't worked much. :( i did the quizzes that people sent me and sent them back just to make they release how annoying is that and so that they stop doing that. yet my request list is so loooooong :dozey:
June 7, 200917 yr As with everything else, FB is a useful medium if you use it the right way. I don't have any problems with it.;)
June 7, 200917 yr I got Facebook for some weeks ago.. then I removed it. (or de-activated) Reason? It's boring, boring, boring. And makes you realise who few persons you actually know.. :disappointed: I know...I don't have a real big wild social life. I only know a few friends that I have on there. It can be fun if you know a bunch of people that go online, but you feel stupid writing what you did today, when there is nobody that reads it.
June 7, 200917 yr are you taking the piss?? :inquisitive: Clearly a rhetorical question......................
June 7, 200917 yr If most of the apps invites are coming from one person, you can block it so that person can't send you invites ;)
June 8, 200917 yr If most of the apps invites are coming from one person, you can block it so that person can't send you invites ;) Yes, that's another strategy, and it works wonders. It so happens that it's usually the same people who are compulsive requests/invites senders. :laugh3:
June 8, 200917 yr Yes, that's another strategy, and it works wonders. It so happens that it's usually the same people who are compulsive requests/invites senders. :laugh3: Because they're generally the compulsive saddos??
June 27, 200916 yr one question any of you, facebook users, have any authority on your friends list there? (writers, muscians...). a friend of mine have a singer, she knows him personally so i am not that shocked for that.
June 28, 200916 yr As with everything else, FB is a useful medium if you use it the right way. I don't have any problems with it.;) same here, you just have to check the friend requests, the other stuff (tests and quiz and groups etc...) is useless shit
