Why do you think it doesn't look good? It's a huge show right now and it will bring their songs to an even wider audience. Surely it's a win for everyone involved?

because all those people still think coldplay is an indie band :P

I was wondering ever since the show started if they would use Coldplay songs, and am I ever glad that they said no! I would hate it is they used their songs.

'Glee': Coldplay to make appearances?

'Glee': Coldplay to make appearances?

Coldplay change their mind, according to Radar Online

It seems like everyone is jumping on the Glee bandwagon these days. With the intense popularity of the Madonna-themed episode last week, musical acts are coming out of the woodwork to try to be linked to the hit Fox show. As stars like Britney Spears and Courtney Love talk with Glee creators about future collaborations, it is no wonder that some of the biggest names in the music industry are trying to link with the hit musical comedy.

According to Radar Online, Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, and Coldplay have been considered for features on Glee next season. Show creator Ryan Murphy stated that while Coldplay initially refused to have their songs played on the show, they have since changed their minds.

Glee cast members, including Matthew Morrison, have been pushing for an appearance by Justin Timberlake, but Murphy was quick to point out he doesn't want too many guest stars to sing. He would rather the focus remain on the Glee cast. But don't rule out a Timberlake-themed episode. With an extensive catalogue of music, Timberlake could pull in a huge audience rivaling that of the Madonna episode.

Murphy confirmed to Radar that Billy Joel and Britney Spears are interested in joining the show. He also revealed that Sir Paul McCartney has become a "Gleek." Scoring a McCartney episode would be huge for Glee. While the show currently dominates in the 18-24 age group, McCartney's hits could appeal to a much broader demographic.

NNnnnnnnnnOoooooooooooooooOOOOOoooo

Please don't!

I was just coming to post this, wonder what was with the change of heart?

Anyway, I think it's a good thing, there's no need to be precious over it.

yah i to wonder why they changed their mind, but i think im happy about it? i donno i LOVE Glee and Coldplay and all the other songs they have done covers of iv liked for the most part so it could be good! i wonder what song(s) they would do?

Meh.

I'm not mad, but I'm not happy. Glee, for some reason, is incapable of making their own music.

SongS... Maybe more than one? *-* It's gonna be perfect!

NOOO!!! Glee is a stupid and shitty tv show! If Coldplay lets them use a song then they're going commercial and throwing away everything they stand for! NOOOOOO

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SH*T, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:facepalm::veryangry::thumbsdown::snobby: :furious3: :bigcry:

Maybe Will was drunk and forgot about his seal of disapproval...:uhoh:

Normally, I would say NO WAY to something like this, but I love Glee, so this is exciting! Please don't judge me. :P I can't wait to see which song(s) they pick.

I watch Glee with my girlfriend because she likes it, and I think the humor can be pretty great, but I don't have really care that much about this. I mean...I'm a little disappointed. I won't care if it's any song on X & Y or a few that are on Viva la Vida, because some of the songs are pretty...generic.

That said,

Coldplay did an iTunes commercial. I know lots of people have, but that's...um...ahem...A COMMERCIAL!!!

Frankly, I don't think Coldplay are doing anything that bad. This is just going to open up a lot of young people to good music. They might not appreciate organic or well made real music now, and they may need the gloss of Glee, but someday they'll come around as we all do.

Sometimes the first time you find out about a great song is through an above average cover of the original song. Then you find the first version and fall in love.

Who knows really. I just hope they don't let them use The Scientist. Because that would be personally devastating. I'm hoping it's something like Fix You...:smug:

Maybe Will was drunk and forgot about his seal of disapproval...:uhoh:

but yeah... :freak:

Maybe Will was drunk and forgot about his seal of disapproval...:uhoh:

most likely!

I don't see what the big deal is, it's not like they haven't licensed their songs before. Most notably in those Apple commercials. It's just that people either love or hate Glee. I think Glee is hilarious and entertaining.

This makes me shiver.

Haha, play on words.

But seriously, this sucks.
