Thanks for this amazing story!! :)

Great 2nd part. Definitely better than the 1st one which was really frustrating to read! ;)

Now that we know you have a music band, it makes a little bit more sense that you got to meet them, even if we don't know the exact circumstances.

Good luck with your project and tell us when you have a myspace, we'll be glad to hear some songs! :)

Thank you for sharing the wonderful story, Craig. Love to hear that they are down-to-earth. You are super lucky and I wish you the best of luck with your band.

(I haven't been here on CPing for a looong time and just wanted to say hi to everyone!)

Hahahaha! :laugh3:

Now for the rest of my life, I'm going to be curious on how this happened.

But congrats. :awesome:

I am so glad for you!! And I wish you the best. I know how hard is to be successful in music business, not for my own experience, but I know so many people that are really good musicians and I see all the effort that they put in their work...Way to go!! I will follow the calligraphers from Argentina... Hope when you are famous and well known you do not forget about latin american people. Best wishes and I would appreciate if you can give us info about Guy, hahaha.

Thank you to the people who have replied btw.

Like I said I can't give any details about how/where/why it happened, but its not what anyone has suggested or guessed on here anyway!

I can say what happened, but only briefly though. I'll just tell some of my conversation with Chris and Phil, which was around 20-25 minutes long! After introductions, we spoke about various things, firstly about how he and coldplay are my inspiration, and he is a personal hero of mine. At which point I said " I'm a bit nervous, You just dunno how it feels to meet your heroes" ... then I backtracked thinking that he probably has met them! He went on to say "I have met some of them, but not all, and not Bob Dylan, he is the one I've always wanted to meet but it has never happened"

I went on to say that I'm trying to find the way of becoming successful in the music industry, and how I believe the Coldplay story is a pretty good one to follow-suit from. My friend then commented "Yeh, we just need our own Chris Martin!" to which he replied "What? Why the hell would you want a cock like Chris Martin in your band?!" ... I burst with laughter, he is so charming and funny.

Next we spoke about our name for the band once we are ready to get going finally. He asked us what our name was actually gonna be, and I said "We have a couple of names to consider, firstly The Calligraphers, but I'm not certain of how good that is", he replied "that is a fucking great name, seriously, that name is fantastic!" then Phil said "Yeh, I kinda can't believe no other bands have thought of that as a name before, its really good"... I said "Oh well I think I should go with that then right?" Chris asked "What was the other one you had?" And I said "Audiomnik"... Chris just said it as plain as day "That is shit" I was like "Really? thanks haha" then he said "Yeh that is shit, it sounds like a couple of tw-ats with a drum machine. Some crap you would hear at 3am and think what a piece of shit" ... I agreed, and said "so you think I should go with The Calligraphers then right?" he looked at Phil, and smiled, and replied "You have got to go with that, its such a great name, and people will be interested in it, they will wonder what it is you play, and how you sound, and Coldplay fans will like it thats for sure!" ...(no comment haha) --- edit, go see The Calligraphers

So, from now on, that is the name for this band/project which will always be my main focus whilst trying to achieve anything.

He said on LP5 that he got wrong for saying it would be out for Christmas and could not gaurantee it, but he was pretty confident :D

We talked about a number of other things, and it was the greatest 20 minutes I've ever had, I want to share as much as I possibly can, without revealing some things I have personally promised not to reveal. I have read this over and over, and it does not say anything too important lol, thanks for the people who are genuinely interested, and I'm delighted to share this with you :)

Though Im freaking out because I want to know what youve chatted with them about, I think youre doing great not telling everything, and more if it´s confidential for them. The Calligraphers sounds cool

Thanks again everyone, one more line from Chris ..."it's never good to get on the wrong side of Kasabian fans Craig, whatever happens, stay on that side of the fence!"...
