"A Message" is beautiful.

Featured Replies

I've been listening to many versions of Coldplay's song, and yet again, I find myself in awe of how beautiful it is, both lyrically and musically.

"You're the target that I'm aiming at, and I'm nothing on my own." Those lyrics are so incredibly powerful to me. Many will disagree and many will persecute, but I am 100% certain this song is towards God.

I notice a lot of hate towards this song. Why?

Cos it's from X&Y, and they all hate X&Y.

I like it. I even dedicated it to my ex.

I've never understood the hatred towards X&Y, either.

i totally agree. yes it may not be my favourite album, but it's a fantastic album in its own right, and I always say, it should have ended with Fix You.

Me neither, I love the "space" vibe it has, the basslines and the guitar riffs.

Agreed!

Agreed!

I second that agreeance to both of those statements

...although i think i spelled agreeance? wrong.

Fix You is their best song IMO

if you disagree go look at all the comment for the vids for it on YT and look at all the broken people feeling better because of it.

Its the embodiment of the best of music IMO

...and dont worry about persecution

fuck what everyone else thinks

A Message is a really beautiful song

..the end.

i like twisted logic it was good to hear something with a bit of an ecological frame of mind

...something i hadnt interpreted out of one of their songs since Dont Panic

...although I do think they could have done without Low and What If

^I wouldn't take any of the songs out.

Yeah!

X&Y is fantabulous.

My personal favorite is Twisted Logic.

"Space" vibe is the exact description for this album.

I think the fact that people have stressed the song so much has taken some of the effect away from it for me  Saying it's about God makes it worse.

It's a good song and all, though, it's not like I hate it, it's one of my favorites off X&Y.

A Message is my favourite coldplay song along with Life in Technicolor ii

I agree too but I personally feel like it has a "flying" vibe, especially with Speed Of Sound... That includes space but also flying through the sky and the clouds... I think the best place to hear Square One is in a plane taking off :awesome:

:stunned: That's where I first heard it! It was magical :awesome:

Hahaha, that's cool !! :laugh3:

I tried to do it too, but the first time I took a plane (a month ago) the rules were no music or anything during the take-off and landing, and during the flight the plane was too noisy for my headphones. But one day I'll try to do it anyway
