The Beatles > Coldplay.

 

Nice compliment, Kanye, but it's just not true. Nobody is as talented as the Beatles, although I agree with Lore, my like of Coldplay is more because of feelings, rather than my admiration of the Beatles based on their talent.

I love both. Coldplay are definitely one of the best bands out there, and I think they can have the longevity that the Beatles have if they keep making great music.

He is so fucking awsome and I never saw what was in the beatles except for them being the first big Rock band I mean coldplay did more for me then the beatles ever did. Always kinda overrated. Sorry. I wish I could understand what's so great about them.

I think Kanye is a flash in the pan and incredibly immature. I do not think any one will remember him in 30 years so he is trying to make some sort of statement so that you will remember him in 30 years. He needs to go back to music school 101 where no one tells you you are great and fantastic and no one wipes your ass. go back and listen to the basics of the Beatles and find out what made them last so long, The chords, the melodies, the chorus, they are timeless. I love Coldplay but no one should shoot their mouth off with out doing some ground work unless Kanye has spent years and years studying The Beatles and can come back with some proof of this andl be willing to present it.. I hope to take my daughter to another show,I hope to meet all of you at a show. I hope I love their lyrics so much it brings me to tears, I hope they will PLAY WARNING SIGN AT A SHOW I GO TO. I do know is that i love them and i love all of you. Not really, it has to do with the impact of their music. The beatles defined an era while coldplay is just one more band out there these days, even though I dislike radiohead I bet they'll be more remembered than coldplay in the future.

 

And I agree with Christa, the Beatles are timeless.

If I see it from a subjective point of view: Coldplay is better in my view because their music means more to me than The Beatles, but I'd like to think I'm not so narrow minded. The Beatles have changed the music scene and have influenced not only ordinary people but lots of musicians as well. Their songs are timeless, they were created in the 60's and they have still the same relevance and meaning even to people who were born long after the band broke apart. Moreover, they have been covered countless times, they are just part of culture.

Really? As a Coldplay fan I'm sorry to say that I would've prefered he did not say anything at all.

And let's be clear, it's not because of what he said but simply because he said something, I mean, a compliment from a stupid -and completely deprived of any musical sense- man... well that's no compliment at all for me.

I don't care if he's right or wrong or whatever, he's still pathetic and I don't ever want to see Coldplay's name associated with his again!

The Beatles are great, some of Lennon's songs are wonderful, but I never really saw what was so incredible about them... I know that most (if not all) of you will disagree with me here, but they're not a legend to me, plenty of other old musicians are but not them.

 

Having said that, I don't think we can compare the two bands, and anyway I don't like to compare artists like that, each one has his own world and it's good to me.

If you´re going to say something like that, you should say, and loudly; IN MY OPINION, Coldplay are better than The Beatles.

And In my opinion, this isn´t true, and for many reasons that Beatles fans know, and some may say that Coldplay are better, maybe some people don´t like The Beatles, and some say neither of them are good, but I guess it´s nice to know, that Kanye thinks that, for Coldplay and for some of the fans, even tho it´s such an exageration of a comparison.
