I watched Diana get married and I was 18, my daughter who is 18 watched with me, and I told her, when she's my age she will watch Kate and William's kids get married!!!

Well I did catch a bit of the wedding and I have to say even I was taken aback by the enthusiasm. For all those sceptics of this wedding, including myself you couldn't help but feel happy for the occasion. If you see hundreds of thousands of people live on tv enjoying the occasion then you've got to be happy. It was brilliant seeing all those different flags packed with a million (MILLION!) cheering people down the mall.

 

Maybe this country isn't full of cynical masochists after all.
