I thought so too, I think it'd come off better live if they only included the strings and let the band fill in the rest. The song would be better if Jonny's guitar came in earlier. They did the same at Lollapalooza, are they just getting water or something? You've never been to a concert have you? It's a sort of 'courtesy' bands extend to the audience. They 'finish' and then to show their appreciation they come back on. In the case of Coldplay, the encore is predetermined, but some bands who really do like the audience will play longer and maybe even do 2 encores to give back to their audience.
