  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Indya - as Briggins said. Though I'd rather start with The Bends, then In Rainbows and then OK Computer. All albums are great, but these three are the best to start with.

Well ive been reading everything on here the last days, but i was too lazy to post :P

But i read you already went to radiohead!

Im gonna see them next week! Im so excited about it! And i want to be in front so i'll be there early :)

And i have vacation so ive been working a lot these days ;)

But hows u?

just so all of you know they have radiohead's performance of From the Basement on iTunes now. the only thing is that myxomatosis, wieayb, and optimistic are not included, but all i need, videotape and Go Slowly are (they were not previously seen). i've seen some of these so far, but go slowly is just so great!

wow Dave, have a great night! Although you're probably there already enjoying it.

:D

BTW if they play True Love Waits, I plan on killing you and stealing your memories. Just to give you some advance notice about that :P

Indya, listen to True Love Waits. Best Radiohead song ever.

Viva Radiohead! Oh how I wish I could go see them live...

Hey, I'm a pretty new fan of Radiohead. well, fan? I guess not so much because i've only heard 2 songs by them. One of them, I saw a video with a two boys from different countries and one lived better than the other. well, if anyone would like to share some good RH music, I'd love to hear some.

i'll tell you the order i got into them. i did it in november/december and they are already my second favorite band!

just amaaaaaazing.

only thing was that it was so hard to leave Victoria Park, that me and Steph missed our last train home and had to get a train back to mine at 4.30am :(

hi all, i'm going to the gig tonight with my fiancee, we're not leaving billericay till 5 so probably won't be there till 6.30pm-ish. Any idea what the timings are?

What time do Bat For Lashes start ? and then radiohead themselves of course?!

I know you'll probably hate me for saying it but i'm only a sort of medium sized fan, my fiancee is so excited about going, she's never been able to see them live before.

It does sound like a pretty impressive set list, and much more varied than the V Fest setlist from last year.

So glad they played idioteque, everything in its right place, airbag! little surprises like planet telex and dollars and cents, cymbal rush were wonderful! crazy concert.

Kara - I'm glad to hear you had a great time :nice: Did Steph take any photos? She's a great photographer :)

I was there last night and lets be honest, the atmosphere was a bit dead?! Of course Radiohead were brilliant as usual and they played a great selection from there back catalogue ( Planet Telex, Just, Pyramid Song, There There) along with most of the new album and even Symbol Rush from Thom's solo album, but I just felt the crowd were never really with them. The excitement was diluted as I think the place was too big and the stage seemed too far from the crowd. I don't know, maybe attending those 2 intimate Coldplay gigs in London last week has left me feeling like as fans we deserve better than to have to fight our way through a 30,000 strong crowd every time we want to see our bands play? I spend hundreds, thousands probably on gigs every year but increasingly I just feel like I am being ripped off! Bottom line is, this was nowhere near as good as when I saw them at Hammersmith 2 years ago and if memory serves that was only £30. Also you could tell there were a lot of Johnny come latelys there last night.

the reason the atmosphere was dead was beacuse it was a crappy, self indulgent set-list! charging the masses £40 a pop clearly isnt enough for Radiohead to consider playing a few fan favourites!! before all you radiohead die-hards start, they may be a talented band but they are nowhere near as big as some people make out! the gig in glasgow hasnt even sold out, and theyve been plugging it for months!! i like Radiohead, a lot of great songs, but also a lot of weird, overblown nonsense aswell, particularly 'in rainbows' which in all honesty, I think is very boring and tedious. Thom Yorkes head is so far up his eco-friendly arse hes forgotten Radiohead are in the entertainment business!!!

Symbol Rush and Yourke. These made me laugh :D

Well ... They're quality, and I don't think they want to be BIG.
