I heard it on Twitter. But it's just a rumor.

^ Yeah I think the same, but well, some people act like that. I don't think the guys had the blame at all. The other concert I went was really amazing.

^ It was in Barcelona, on September 2009. They played in a stadium and just when Violet Hill started it felt like the sound fell down. People were very rude with them and complained a lot. I think that they even were supposed to record a live from that concert, or just a video for one of the songs, with the crowd, but I think that never happened. If so, they didn't use the sound of that concert at all.

 

:/ Well, it certainly wasn't in the Live 2012 documentary :D They showed Violet Hill in La Cigale.

^ I'm really hoping that they come here soon, because that concert was the last of them I went to and it left me wanting more and better. I never was in a Mylo Xyloto era concert and I can't stop seeing that everyone here says that those ones were the best concerts, but I expect the next ones to be even better.

You mean you DON'T want to hear them chant, para-para-paradise anymore? It's not like that song, which was only decent at first, was totally over-saturated on the radio waves and through mainstream music or something....:wink3:

 

On the whole I think they used too many loop choruses on MX too. They're on ETIAW, Paradise, Princess of China.. A bit of too much, isn't it?

And as of Paradise, from the beginning I thought it had a rather simple structure (intro - build-up - epic and repetitive chorus), and weak lyrics (sorry, Chris). And it wore off pretty quickly for me, meaning I don't listen to it anymore (which is a pity, some Coldplay songs I listened to for couple of years on an everyday basis).

Though I don't mean to hurt feelings of the MX fans, Paradise still is a lovely tune (For example, I loved it how they used it in th Life of Pi trailer, absolutely epic and amazing. Perhaps my life is not epic enough to appreciate this song:)).

Yeah I remember him. He was super excited leading up to the release of MX, and then when it came out, he absolutely hated it and disappeared. ..... until now. He has reemerged.

 

I remember him asking hourly if the album had leaked yet. Like, he'd go out for a job, ask for someone to tell him if it ever leaked, and it never did.

I totally agree with you. It was a completely decent song, but just not the type of sound I wanted to see Coldplay turn to.

No it wasn't even a decent song lol, the lyrics are immature and shit, the song is over-produced, the structure makes it look like a child's poem for primary school

 

The only good thing about that song is the bassline

MX was over produced, for sure, but I don't think it sucks. I think MX/HLH, Us Against the World, Don't Let It Break Your Heart are all great songs. But yeah, Paradise was good for the first few listens, but now I just deal with it. MX is about equal or bit lower than X&Y when it comes to favorite albums.
