LP6

What's with all this jazz talk? That's just silly.

I mentioned it as an example of a controversial album. I had no idea some people would actually embrace the idea! *cringes!!!* haha!

I'm really hoping the possible 'divide' after LP6 has been released will divide the true Coldplay fans from the My-favourite-songs-are-Viva-la-Vida-and-Paradise-fans.

That´s just very weirdly phrased imo. What you probably meant is divide fans of earlier material from fans of later material...right? :P

Like a mix between Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse.

Oh dear God....*shivers in horror* :) Don´t get me wrong, I love both artists, I just don´t see Coldplay playing that kind of music :)

Yeah, I'm very addicted to some music that appeared in the Breaking Bad series. And to the series itself, of course.

He means fans that actually like Coldplay and people who have only heard Viva La Vida and Paradise on the radio (And know few if any other songs), yet exclaim they are Coldplay fans.

Please let it be jazz, I'm saying this since the beginning of 2013, if coldplay releases something blues/jazz/soul they will officialy own my heart forever

Or imagine them going really heavy. It's like no one in the world expects them to release something in the sphere of death metal, and bam - here you go, death metal album.

On a serious note, please no pop/rap collaborations. I don't want to see Coldplay turning into some crappy Maroon 5. I just don't.

Yes, they really can do heavy songs. Just look what they did with Trouble :cheesy:

Well in the end of the Jonny goes jazz video you can see that they can do heavy stuff too :awesome:

Inside our shy, gentle Jonny is a heavy metal shredder Just dying to get out!

I don't know about death metal, but taking a page from some of Muse's earlier works might be kinda cool, simply because Coldplay is known for their more simplistic guitar loops and subtle bass lines. Sit down and have a chat with Matt and Dom and Chris and BAM, awesome guitar riffs with pedals and the whole lot.

I'm mostly saying this because I still want my bass-heavy song :snobby:

I'd like one too :awesome:

Mostly because I'm curious. Also I wanna see Guy walk to the center, front of the stage while playing, with a huge smile on his face and enjoy the glory. :D

I just want a 7 minute song thats like just all four of them jamming. No vocals.

YES THIS IT'S PERFECT

Hmm not sure it is a requirement to know all their catalogue in order to call yourself a fan? Perhaps they would not be hardcore fans, but I am sure Coldplay would anyway call them fans :)

I hadn't considered an instrumental but I'd love to hear that. They're all far better musicians than a lot oe people realize

I know lots of people who love Coldplay, own all the albums but can't name the deep album cuts. They support the band and deserve to be called fans, imo. We're Just spoiled here since we have access to so much info and music on the forum.

And we're crazy and obsessed, lol.;)

I hate the phrase, "true fan."

So do I. If people have the good taste to get into Coldplay in the first place, I'm inclined to help yhem learn more about the band instead of being a snob. Gone are the days When Coldplay were our little secret.;)
