The Philosopher
Chris is a perfectionist as we're all aware (as is the band in general). They probably tweaked it in one way or another. Coldplay have had 2-3 months with this song 'finished' to reanalyze it and make changes as they saw fit. 0k so, can they do the same thing with ETIAW? Do you imagine them changing it? Probably it would be better!
Voskhod349
I don't know if this has already been posted but to my knowledge this is the first time that two songs from the same single/EP (ETIAW and Major Minus) have made it onto an album since The Blue Room (Don't Panic and High Speed). mrman78
YAY! 14 tracks! I'm in agreement with others though that some of these might be instrumental transition tracks. My guesses in addition to MX would be UFO, MMIX and A Hopeful Transmission just based on where they are in the track listing sequence...
Coldplay3277
14 Tracks, at an average length of 3 minutes (perfect pop song) = 42 minutes ughh...too short for me -.- its VLV all over again BUT excited for the album even thou ETIAW is on it...glad its not at the end thou, yep its fine with me :)
coldplayfan24
^ That won't be cool if four tracks are instrumentals, thats way too much. Im referencing What's The Story Morning Glory on this and saying two are allowed. Any more and your starting an instrumental band :)
Jedi Leo
We would all be shocked if there were no instrumentals hehe Although I personally would like at least one.
QuestionsOfScience
I wouldn't mind about the number of instrumentals, bear in mind that Viva La Vida was the only album they put out with an instrumental song in it, so if anything it would be more of a shock if they actually put an instrumental in the album, but Brian Eno's composition will probably be wordless, if there are no lyrics added to it. And am I the only one who really doesn't care what length the album is? I think 42 minutes is going to be too short for this album, I'm seeing it go over 45, but that, and coldplay for me I just don't mind.
F1-77
I'm actually happy about this tracklisting- 14 songs is a pretty good amount, even if they've looked at it as a 7/7 split. Therefore they've essentially got a long album to appeal to people that want that, and the album could also be interpreted as two short albums, if any fan wants to listen to a shorter album. Eggs in both baskets! I just hope that the album isn't too short- the 42 minute rule is a noble idea, but I wouldn't want Coldplay selling themselves short if they've got a plethora of awesome and interconnected songs/ideas (although I think they themselves realized this with VLVODAAHF by adding more hidden tracks). I can't wait for the album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well everyone IS expecting instrumentals this time around , due to the high number of tracks, so that´s why I said we would be shocked if there were not :) BTW, Prospekt´s March also had an instrumental :) I personally don´t mind them, but I would not want more than one
Samuel_94
I reckon Mylo Xyloto and A Hopeful Transmission are the only instrumentals
Ronnie O Sullivan
Good morning everyone ! :) Short question: is the tracklist they posted with its graphics the final one in fact of the style (the songs are set) or is it possible that its gonna be changed maybe ?! [email protected]
Yahoo! The track list looks awesome....and as nearly everyone on here has said...the icons for each song/track is a cool new idea! Creative, aren't they? As for the two sides....I agree...think the first half will be upbeat and epic and perhaps the second a bit more sombre...with perhaps a spike at the end to finish off with some hope! Cannot wait for Monday. Paradise! Then onto October for MX day! Whoo hoo!:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P

Batmotor
we have to be honest paradise and ETIAW are awefull songs. Moving to Mars is definitly the best song so far but it became a b-side. But the weird thing with Coldplay is that i mostly like the b-sides more then the actual songs that they put on there albums. Example: Almost all the b-sides from X&Y are better then the actual songs on the album itself. 'i ran away' is in my opinion the best song from the AROBTTH era. so who is chosing the tracks that will actually be on the albums itself? Coldplay or the Record label itself?.
