Moments on Mylo Xyloto where you shed a few tears ?!

Featured Replies

Maybe it sounds cheesy as hell but are there any songs on the new Album where you had to shed a few tears by listening to it(first or now) ? I got them(and still have) while hearing the guitar and bass coming together in Us against the world and during the Dont let it break your heart.

Why ? Those moments totally remind me why i love them so much, no matter what anybodies saying !!!!

So,what about you ? :)

The only Coldplay song that reduced me was See You Soon live when I was going through a tough time two Christmas's ago. Doubt anything on this album will really hit me emotionally.

A song that hit me out of nowhere (wasn't reduced to tears though) was Promenade by U2. Heard it plenty of times before but there was one afternoon where it just really took me out. Promenade is the song for me for every occasion.

Us against the world did!

the only coldplay songs that have done that to me so far are see you soon, a message when he says "you dont have to be alone" because ive always been alone :'( and fix you when i had a broken heart i found that song on youtube and it brought me to tears! but every teardrop is a waterfall! :P

The only Coldplay song that made me come close to shedding a tear once is I Ran Away. Other than Coldplay, there's also Mirrorball by Elbow. But on MX, nope.

for me a coldplay song that's made me shed a manly tear would be Everything's Not Lost and Fix You. Us Against The World is good but not good enough to make that happen……… again

I'm off now to go and do manly stuff like spitting and making rude jokes

There's only 1 Coldplay song thats ever made me cry: Fix You. I was going through a really hard time when X&Y came out and that song simply resonated with me and the situation I was in. There are other songs that give me the chills though. Amsterdam, Gravity and UATW are all songs that "strike a chord" with me.

Up in Flames

and UFO to a much lesser extent.. but Up in Flames is simply amazing.

there's also Mirrorball by Elbow. But on MX, nope.

Oh Mirrorball, beautiful song... Elbow made me cry at Rock Werchter. Seeing them in a few weeks. :awesome:

Er, yeah I cried during MX, but I am the biggest cry baby ever (who wants a competition?), and I'm going through a shit time, so it doesn't really mean that much. I could cry at any song that is more than ok, if the timing is 'right'.

Come to think of it, I even cried at ETIAW once, which is a lot less than ok.

So does anyone have a tissue left? Some mascara...?

Man tears were very nearly shed when hearing the 2nd part of Up With The Birds for the first time

Gravity made me cry last year when I was going through a tough time.

Nothing from MX. However, UATW is quite sad. See you soon is the only song that gets too me. What If, Warning Sign, and Fix you are up there ass well.

Hehe "ass" well :P :laugh3:

I guess the closest I've gotten to tearing up is the ending of Up With the Birds just because it makes me so happy.

i think i am alone with DLIBYH...but to explain,it sounds sooo Coldplay to me. That direction of music i totally love and have found back on that track...thats why i got some tears while listening to it :)

Up In Flames, I was in a sh*t mood, and when I heard it ... Well. You know :P

Yes, beautiful song.

Only listened to the album once, but Up In Flames almost gets me to cry. For some reason though I always tear up during "in the gap between the two trapezes, but my heart is beating..." and also "be a red rose bursting the concrete", "I know the sun must set to rise". Jonny guitar on Paradise as well. That's the list so far :)

In the new album the song that made me shed a tear was Up in flames!

Expecially the lyrics:

So it's over...this time, i know, it's gone...

It reminds me about a current thing that has been continuing since 7 months ago...

My best friend of 25 years died almost 2 years ago and I was involved in the decision to remove her from life support. "A Ghost" still reduces me to mush.

I'm not going through any hard times just now so MX hasn't made me tear up yet, I guess something really shit has to be going on for me to cry.

But other Coldplay songs that have gotten me to cry when I was going through a shit time are Fix You, Warning Sign, Strawberry Swing and Proof, can't forget Proof

Not Coldplay, but Chances by Athlete always gets me close to tears haha
