We already have ETIAW, Paradise and POC but I think as many as 5 more songs could be singles! (CB, UiF, DLIBYH, HLH and UATW)

I'm still not sure about that PoC being released as the next single.....I know billboard said it, but I found this on another site:

I don't think Hurts Like Heaven is going to be a single once it need to be attached with Mylo Xyloto. I guess proper singles would be

Don't Let It Break Your Heart (works better without AHT than HLH without MX)

I'm sorry, but if Charlie Brown isn't the next single, I'll beat myself silly. The song has already had commercial influence thanks to Sky using it as a backing track for sporting events and adverts. Plus, it was arguably the biggest hit at the summer festivals, so there really isn't any question.

 

The only other song I'd see beating Charlie Brown into being the next single would be Princess of China, and that's thanks to Rihanna.

 

Charlie Brown and Princess of China will be the next 2 singles. After that, I think Coldplay will be done with this era :)

I would like Up In Flames as a single too. Hurts Like Heaven might make it also.

I don't know about Hurts Like Heaven, it's incomplete without MX and it would be weird if they released both as one single.

I think there will be 4 singles, and they will be Princess of China and Charlie Brown. If they were to have a fifth then I would hope it would be Don't Let It Break Your Heart.

Charlie Brown and either Hurts Like Heaven or Don't Let it Break Your Heart will be the last singles.

Hopefully, this won't be one of those albums when 3/4 of the album end up as singles. I've always found that highly annoying.

Probably Hurts Like Heven if there is a fifth, I doubt there would be though.

Hurts Like Heaven will not be a single for a couple of reasons. First is because it doesn't have a "proper" beginning without attaching Mylo Xyloto with it. Second reason is that, if they elected to do that, you would have to edit down HLH quite a bit due to the total length of the two tracks, which is tough, because you really can't edit HLH without taking out a unique aspect of the song.

it'd be easy to make a 'Radio edit' of Hurts Like Heaven that shortens Mylo Xyloto/removes it completely

so that's no reason they won't

In my opinion we'll get 5 singles from MX:

2. Paradise

3. Princess Of China

4. Charlie Brown

5. Up In Flames or Don't Let It Break Your Heart

 

(Hopefully Hurts Like Heaven, although I don't think it will be a single..)
