Definitely Amsterdam, I'd also probably give Swallowed in the Sea a mention if it wasn't for the ridiculously awful lyrics. Musically though the song is fantastic.

So many songs, starting with singles. So many other songs besides VLV deserved to be #1's.

Not that I care about charts, but if people don't know (didn't buy) the singles, how are they supposed to now the less known songs...

The first song that pops into my mind is Politik. I don't undestand why they didn't release it as a single when it's just as good as the other 4 songs they did.

Answered this many times before. It depends how you look at it. For example, Amsterdam is unknown and underrated by most people, but the fanbase will generally see that song as one of their best. Same for I Ran Away. I'm in an Amsterdam period now. I could listen to that song and still discover new things, and still be stunned. Amsterdam.
