January 20, 201214 yr Better than the original video. Coldplay should take more seriously their songs, that elephant thing is fun, but really silly compared to this video.

January 20, 201214 yr I love the video, but I agree with Nikola on the fact that it's too dark: to me it doesn't fit with the...spirit, the atmosphere of the album, which is more colorful Oh, and at the end, I'm sorry but it reminded me of something... CAR KIDS! :awesome: hihihi :D
January 21, 201214 yr Could've been a lot better. As it is, its kind of a weak, directionless sigur ros imitation. The plot is too vague to sympathize with, as I had absolutely no idea what the cars were supposed to symbolize, nor what the point of the purpose of the knife, the shady guy etc. was. Plus, why were there adults at all? if they were going for the whole kids thing. Altogether kind of meh.

Wanted to see this video, since I heard of it and happily glad they decided to let us view it. Beautifully filmed and good acting all around. Pretty unique because you don't see the little girl as little most of the time. Reminds me of Benjamin Button. Don't want to spoil it, so won't say more. Will say the ending is precious and paralells with the Happy Elephants vid. I find both intriguing and brillant.
January 21, 201214 yr I like it, it fits better with the songs mood, Paradise is not a happy tune. But I have to agree it's way to dark, a little bit of colors would be nice, and I thought for a momment she was going to kill the boy, that was not necessary.
January 21, 201214 yr I find it...intriguing. In a way it's a more literal interpretation of the song and in another way it's not. It plays with your mind, it's really showing the dark underbelly of the song

January 22, 201214 yr Like this dark video. Very haunting, very serious. It fits the way the song first hit me back in September. Do prefer the elephant one. Same message, but a more free interpretation. And more fun. :elephant:
January 23, 201214 yr The video is the second to be made for the track Paradise (the first, by Mat Whitecross, came out three months ago when the single was first released). Shynola's version is a gritty live action tale, suggesting something of a new style for the directing collective, who have previously specialised in animation. There are moments of animation here still, but the promo's strength lies in some excellent performances by the young actors who star in it, particularly the central character, played by Lily-May Crosby. link
