And you can both try to act like you don't know me as I groove to EVERYTHING.

Bringing my friend who has never seen Coldplay before! We have seats in Section 114 and I am praying that the C stage will be close by.

I have a hunch that the C stage will be in section 120B. When my sister went to buy my tickets at the box office she also grabbed a seating chart specifically for that concert. It has the X stage pictured on it and it's also got slashes through section 120B showing that no one will be sitting there. So I think that's where the X stage will be :3

I'm not sure though. Do they usually do the first encore on the floor near the back, or do they set up a stage in the stands somewhere?

I'd love to get together with some of you guys! I already have a few good friends that I'm meeting up with that I met through the fandom on Tumblr. But if we set up a time and place before the concert then I think it'd be great to meet with all of you! :D

should we plan on say 6PM?

I want to be the Palace early in the day to wait for Coldplay to come in for soundcheck... I want try and meet them like that. We all could just meet at the arena early in the day and wait for them to come.

I don't know about anybody else but that's what I'm doing, I have a few different ways to try and get Chris Martin to sign my arm so I can get his signature tattoo'd on me and I don't want to miss the opportunities cause the next time I'll have a chance to do this may not be for a long time.

I don't think that will work. Palace staff makes anyone leave the parking lot if they are there before 4:00 and are not going there specifically to purchase tickets at the Box Office. (They do that so they can charge everyone for parking.) They did that for a concert (Radiohead) that had general admission standing and people were there early to try to get front row, so they surely won't let people do it for a concert where everything is assigned seating. I'll post my experience from the Radiohead concert shortly...

edit: Okay, here's my post from the Radiohead conert...

Yeah this is turning out to be a bit of a clusterf*ck...

I went to The Palace this morning to verify some info. This is what I posted earlier on WASTE:

Okay so I just got back from the Palace to ask the questions I mentioned earlier (see prior page). Here's the responses:

  1. NO porta potties.
  2. They won't escort people in before the doors open to use the restrooms.
  3. The guy wasn't entirely sure about waiting inside (there are two sets of doors) versus outside. Let's just assume it is outside.
  4. He said all (3) entrances will open at the same time. So I suppose we should be ready for a free-for-all. This kind of sucks.
  5. & 6. He still seemed a little confused about the WASTE ticketless GA people. Although he did say for sure that we need to bring our ID, credit card used to purchase it, and the confirmation printout. But when I asked if WASTE gets early entry, he said that ticketmaster and WASTE ticketless enter at the same time (5:30 or 6:00, he wasn't sure), but "fanclub" will probably be able to go in a half hour early. HUH?!?! Isn't that what WASTE is supposed to be? He seemed confused. He said I should call back after noon, and hopefully they'll have it sorted out by then.

And this is the part that is a big WTF... he said the parking lot doesn't open until a few hours before the event. I had a puzzled look on my face, because I was able to pull into the parking lot just fine (from the North entrance on Lapeer Road). He said well yeah that's for people coming to the box office (to purchase tickets for other events); if they see people in their cars they will tell them to leave. And I don't think he's joking because there were a few people in a car next to me when I first pulled in (I could tell they were there for the concert), and by the time I left they were gone. I told him there were people that planned to get there around noon, and he was like "well we're gonna tell them they have to leave the parking lot and come back later, that's just Palace policy." D: And I didn't even think about it until now, but I wonder if they do that so they can charge everyone for parking...

This just sounds like a clusterf*ck. I'm still going to aim to get there around 1-ish I think. I mean, what else can I do?!?

And this is what somebody else who went to the box office later found out...

They are just going to send you home like they did me if you are leaving now. You're wasting gas.

Fellow W.A.S.T.E.rs! I just came back from the Palace Box Office and they chatted with me and their higher-ups for quite a while. Told me to go to THE WEST ATRIUM outside the Pistons Lockerroom store and there will be a line outside the doors for W.A.S.T.E. ticket holders. THEY TOLD ME THEY WILL ONLY LET PEOPLE STAND AT 4 O CLOCK. This means that us hardcore fans that wanted front row and were willing to wait in line all day to get them, well.. we probably won't get those seats/standing area.

They also told me to bring the credit card that I purchased the tickets with, e-mail confirmation, and my ID. As a previous poster has stated they will probably let people in around 5 and yes this is totally fucked.

If anything I think this speaks for the Palace's incompetence and why Radiohead never fucking comes here.

I'm almost thinking I should have just got seated tickets in Section 101 (the WASTE section) when they unexpectedly released them on ticketmaster last Friday. THIS IS BS.

Just FYI I always park in the industrial park across from the Palace to avoid paying for parking. I don't know why everyone doesn't do this.
I guess I assumed that the police were stalking people doing that and giving them tickets. It appears that I'm wrong! Of course I don't think I'd want to walk across Lapeer Road as all that traffic leaves the Palace lot.

If you're worried about getting a ticket just park at Jimmy John's up the road. Of course I'm just obsessed with not paying extra for parking so it's probably just me

ok maybe 5:30?

The doors open at 5:30 I think. I want to get there really early to meet Roadies and maybe Coldplay as well but if you guys are saying that they'll just send me home then that's a huge pain in the arse.

THAT'S A GREAT IDEA

I think it'd be best to have the meetup run from 4-5:30 since it seems they'll let us stand around starting at 4.

Whew.... so I've been contemplating whether or not to go..... Well I'm watching some live Glastonbury concert from 2011 at the moment. I can't help it. It's like the "itis" I got it. COLDPLAY-ITIS. It came back. I must see them. I must be within 5 rows. So there it is. Mr. Martin, Champion, Buckland ( JONNY BOY!) and last but not least Berryman, I'll be seeing you in 9 days.
