AgainstTheWorld Posted November 14, 2012 Share Posted November 14, 2012 I went to the theater in Fairfax, VA (the closest one to DC, and the only one showing it in the area). Angelica Film Center. I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT!!!!!!! I am so happy to have been part of it. Part of the tour and part of the small audience that saw this beautiful film. The Film Center had two showings, 7:30 and 9:30....the 7:30 one was definitely more full, but the 9:30 one (which I went to) had disappointingly low audience. I know there are a lot of Coldplay fans in DC...they had two tour dates here for God's sake. Where were they....? It was weird, I have to admit. The actual theater was pretty small, and of course the boys looked ridiculously handsome on the big screen, the acoustics were not too great (very low sound on the songs, and a lot higher then the guys were talking). All that aside, it was impossible not to go "ahhh" "uuhhhh" "woooo" when the Xylobands came on, when they did a close up on the guys, when they talked in their awesome English accent. I love that they kept showing the elephant suit. It's such an awesome piece of clothing :) Excited to get my copy in the mail. On Chris's 1st Interview.. Don't Let it Break Your Heart. On Johnny's .. Charlie Brown On Guy's.. Up With The Birds On Chris' 2nd Interview.. (I recall not 100% Sure) HLH or ETIAW But noticeably on Will's interview, the track playing in the background was definitely new to my ears. Obviously this track must have come from the recording sessions of MX * & I'm dying to say Car Kids * , but putting 2 & 2 together with Chris' tweet from a recording studio.. I saw him (and loved the part of the film dedicated to him!) but i thought i saw someone else after him - maybe it was just a thank you to all the fans because it showed a shot of a fan after - i will just have to wait and see when i get the dvd! Aleluvscp Posted November 14, 2012 Share Posted November 14, 2012 Even though this is a different band to the one I fell in love with, the Live 2012 was a nice insight to their life as a band and the concert was spectacular, I truly enjoyed it. If there's something they know how to do it's put on a show, it was magical and exciting. I couldn't help but bawl my eyes out during Yellow, Fix You and Clocks, I miss that Coldplay, the Coldplay that brought out things in me I didn't even know I felt. (where the Danish concert was) with me. :) She thought it was just like a concert. :) The only thing I didn't liked was that there was nothing from my shows, and that cheesy slowmotion when Chris jumped. But apart from that I loved it. I went to see it in Zagreb, Croatia. Surprisingly two cinema auditoriums were almost completely full. Now what do I think about it? It was amazing. I loved every little bit of it. The colourful concert parts and little black&white interviews in between. So thank you Coldplay for an amazing film. Also people in the cinema were great, singing and clapping and it was so much fun. The little reportages of each members were fantastic 'cause we can see their point of view about Mylo Xyloto Tour. Chris' jokes were so funny. I laughed. A lot of. The DVD is very well filmed and edited. We can see the atmosphere in the audience and impact of xylobands. So, it's a magical DVD and I recommend everyone to watch it !
