Ahem, ahem, am I the only one not really excited about this release? :uhoh:

 

I mean, it is not like the live 2012 for sure, where we didn't know what to expect.

We have already seen the TV special (with the lucky audience), & listened to recordings of the live songs on the CD, We listened to the whole concerts in this short-lived era!

 

So what is left? music videos for Ghost Story & All your Friends that would probably not feature the band! & an extended version of Magic featuring Peter Fonda (We totally forgot about his existence for Magic video :inquisitive:)

No tour diary or special making of or anything as the description entails.. So basically 30 $ for Peter Fonda & 15 minutes of footage..:dozey:

 

Exactly. I'm not even sure i'll be getting it since there aren't enough new things to intice me to buy.

Don't forget its not the full concert its just the Ghost Stories part. Which is pretty weird.

 

I loved it when it aired, so I'll get the Bluray and pump out Ghost Stories on my sound system (I really can't stand DVD quality, why do people buy DVDs of Music, both visually and audioily its horrible). But anyway.

Blu-ray and the music videos sway me :)

Very excited for my fav song off the album, Ghost Story to have a vid. I picture images in my mind for the song, but will love to know how the band will interpret it into a visual

I like that it WON'T have Clocks/Viva/Paradise. GS was meant to be enjoyed as a unit, not with the hits interspersed. Music videos sound great too for the bonus tracks!!!!

 

Though at the end of the day, I agree Live 2012 was a bigger surprise and value for money.

So happy. It is probably the album that means the most for me, so the live version is just the best thing EVER!!! :-)

 

The japanese version will have "Viva La Vida (Live at Tokyo Dome City Hall)" as a CD bonus track though.

The first one comes in a DVD case, and the second one's in a CD case. So the DVD case will probably have a larger booklet, hence the price difference :)

A man tweeted that the only difference was a bigger size box. I do no think they are offering two sizes in the states. I pre-ordered the physical dvd/cd and there was only one option I saw

yeah, the only difference is that the CD/DVD is in a jewel case and the DVD/CD is a DVD case

and the jewel case isn't available in the US store right now which sucks, because all my other Coldplay discs are in jewel cases and i want them to match :disappointed:

Free postage though. Plus you can order on Amazon and get it on the day it comes out while on the official store it takes about a week to arrive.

Does anyone know if the Blu-Ray is region free? I'm in the U.S. and Amazon only has the DVD, but the UK Amazon site has the Blu-Ray. I've been able to purchase Blu-rays from UK Amazon in the past that will work in the US, but I hesitate on this one since it doesn't specify whether it is region free.

Yea when you account for shipping its cheaper. I remember ordering mylo live from the coldplay store and the shipping was something rediculous around 12 dollars and also the coldplay store it is 22.99 and on amazon its 21.98
