Umm... I am not much into EDM but I actually like Avicii. But this is just...I don't know. A big nothing?

 

I am ok with the last minute of the track - typical Avicii sound and (Chris) piano outro. Emphasis on "ok" as in does not get on my nerves ;)

I wonder how many runs they had to go through to get this one right. :)

ain't that the truth. this is very disappointing. frankly, the original song wasn't too bad. i thought the superposed vocals were a nice touch too. but this is like a middle school band making a song in their parents' garage! how on earth did this version get past the record label??

The verse is apparently someone called "Id" and Chris is the chorus. I kind of dig the song tbh but I totally get if people who like just like Coldplay style music may not necessarily like something like this with Chris in it.

I had to laugh so hard at your posts ! :D This is so true !

 

I hope Chris is embarassed of this track for the rest of his life...but knowing him, I think he will go around saying in interviews how truly great and kind and talented and genius Avicii is and how cool it was to be part of this and bla bla bla.

 

Someone compared it to Homecoming. As someone who very much dislikes Kanye West, I must say that yeah, Homecoming is like 1.000x better than this.

 

I was wise enough to save the studio record of the first version of this with Chris on all vocals...I'm not into EDM music, but I actually liked it initially and thought it was a pretty decent EDM song.

 

By the way, is anyone else in particular annoyed by the way the unknown "singer" says DANNNNNNCE and CHANNNNNNCE ? I can't say how much that irritates me
