Did you know? Coldplay are only one number 1 album away from equaling a UK record, set by The Beatles for the most consecutive number 1 albums in a row! (Keane are just behind with 5 number 1's in a row)

 

Coldplay will have to contend with Adele's third week. We can probably tell when sales are revealed of Adele's first and second week as to how close it will be. Based on Ghost Stories sales, Adele will come out on top but with an enormous marketing budget it seems (which Ghost Stories didn't have) and probably the largest fan base in the world, Coldplay will have a massive first week.

I'm honestly afraid that this release will be a streak breaker. Adele will be a really tough one to overtake the #1 Album chart. She had 11 consecutive number ones last time.
