Eskapist
It was my first Coldplay concert, my favourite band since i'm 17 and i'm 22 now, so this was a very very special night to me. And i was just in front of the stage, so i saw the entire band just in front of my eyes. It is such a strange feeling ... It's like i saw so many videos and interviews of them that i've almost forgot they really exist haha ... I didn't cry ( well some tears for Fix You ), but i've screamed for 2 hours and now i can't speak. What striked me is the positive energy the band and especially Chris give us. The atmosphere of AHFOD tour is very zen, calm ... And even if we were tired of all the travel, they gave us a very peaceful and incredible atmosphere. It's like they took out all the anger and the hatred and told us " We haven't got time for that, let's party together and be happy whatever people say " And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the true definition of music. Music is a party. And Coldplay unites us all for that party.

iamsue
???? Even if you think something is true, it shouldnt be said in a rude way.... I have to agree. Listen to the tone of what a couple of you are saying. Then read back to the comments about the concert atmosphere and the band's messages of peace and love. Really, we are here to support the band, even if we don't agree with all of their choices. We are better than this. Let's rise above the angry banter. It really takes away from the enjoyment we all have being a global community who relish in reading about each other's experiences with the tour and band- even if we disagree. Politely and respectfully, I hope.

Eskapist
Is the stage really high? Can you see much at the front? No it is not ! We were really close to the stage and it is perfect for those who are in front of the stage ! I heard some people who where far from it found it more difficult to see them because the stage is not that high ! But i talk about Nice, maybe it will be different in other stadiums

Saad
[Part 1/3] Hello "web people of" Coldplaying (poke Anchorman), I had the privelege of seeing Coldplay again (OMG I DID :dazzled:) and the experience is so amazing I have to share it with you guys. The post will be too long and too detailed (and I'm sorry) but every detail counts in this adventure. It all started last November when I couldn't get a golden circle ticket so I had to buy an Early access (I won't complain about the prices now, I already did). And the hardest part of a Coldplay show started: the wait. The shows in Latin America made me both excited and nervous, I didn't know if they'd give me a day off at work, I didn't know the best spot to stand in stadium (front row, catwalk...), but I got one of the biggest surprises of my life: my beautifully wonderful parents made a Viva La Vida jacket OH MY GOD I still can't believe it (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CiVG1z2W0AA-B4l.jpg if you wanna check it out)!  May 23rd came so fast, I had a flight from Paris at 9am. At the airport I met a family of fans from North Carolina going to see their favourite band in beautiful Nice !! I arrived after a 1H30 flight, my hotel was 5 min away from the stadium. As I put my bag in the room, I heard some sounds coming from there... so obviously I couldn't help but go check! I was crossing the street when I saw the boys in their vans OH GOD! I just got there can I catch a break !!! So I told a friend (Gioia) who came right away and many fans joined that evening (Yu, Ingrid, Marina and her mom: I have to say their names, they all made the journey so special) . People coming from Italy, UK, China... this is when you realize how massive the boys are <3 I also met their software engineer Dave who was so down to earth and helpful (thanks Dave)!! Around 7pm, we were waiting outside the stadium and BOOM, we heard AHFOD being soundchecked and there was fireworks so we knew they'd be rehearsing the whole show :dazzled: they played a full band version of See you soon, so i knew my song request wasn't chosen! (I had requested Miracles, the song fits perfectly this era)  About 20 other people showed up right away. I met the amazing Ian (Atlas) and his lovely mom, they were so kind to me (thank you so much :loveshower:)! We basically saw a first version of the show, everyone was dancing and jumping and singing like we were inside the arena :bliss:! After they finished, we were hoping they'd come meet us but NOOO they didn't! Many were disappointed but I can understand, it was 10pm and they were probably really exhausted! Everyone went back to their hotel rooms asking each other when they'd come to queue! Of course, I could NOT sleep that night, I just prepared my Viva outfit, took a shower, and took some rest while checking the 42 alarms I had set up earlier.
Saad
[Part 2/3] SHOW DAY HAS FINALLY ARRIVED :stunned:! At 6am I packed my bag, wore my outfit and headed to the stadium! I found 6 people already in line for the Early access entry (Ingrid, Oksana with the red hair , Franck: first Coldplay show for the three+ Simone aka the boss, Tiziano and their little group of Italian fans). [spoiler=photo of the early entry group in the queue] https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10206303982098750 Mobile Link: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10206303982098750&set=a.10201131762516493.1073741826.1242357985&type=3&theater¬if_t=like_tagged¬if_id=1464269099305086   The organisation was too messed up. The directions vigils gave us were wrong and confusing and contradictory, nobody knew anything about the early enty, we kept turning around until 8 am, they told us we should wait in the south entry, which we did. In the meantime, some nice people from a regional newspaper invited us for breakfast, they called us 'ultra fans' :D lolol and told us how this show is the biggest Nice has ever known We went back to the stadium (played a card game) and we had to wait until 11am to finally have a queue for the early access. We were so relieved, and finally got to talk about Coldplay, previous shows, this passion we share for the best band in world !! Everyone was just so kind and funny and beautiful and excited, it actually makes me cry ! Another lovely fan joined (he's from Turkey, and a BIG FAN, I don't wanna mispell his name (Oze ??))! Anyway, it was too hot that day but we kept talking about where we'd all stand, we agreed that the best spot would be halfway through the runway. Around 12pm, we saw Coldplay staff coming to us with big boxes :dazzled: we first got our bracelets and OMG, a lovely lady came with the XYLOBANDS (my first eveeer!!!) she said they're new ones AND they have speakers, I got mine, got a picture and tweeted it immediately! [spoiler=the new Xylobands]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CjN72l_XEAAOGhk.jpg  the lady was so nice she let us choose the colours of both the xylobands and the love buttons! Half an hour later, we finally got our AHFOD tour gifts: AHFOD backpack, keychain, vinyl size decorations and a vip laminated pass :loveshower:! The two security guys were also so good to us, gave us water, made jokes, laughed! Everything about Coldplay is amazing, the crew, the fans, why do we deserve this band? This made us forget everything about the heat and the burning sun, we were all over the moon! There were almost 200 people in the queue by 2pm and OMG, they soundchecked ONE I LOVE. Can you believe these guys?!!! Two years ago at Casino de Paris, I heard them soundcheck Crest of waves, but you think they'd play it live?? Nooo! We were nervous and stressed out, in fact, the doors were supposed to open at 3.30 pm but they didn't! Around 4pm, people with the scanning machines came, they divided the queue into two and it was time !! omg ! after all the wait, they started allowing us to the stadium 8 by 8! No matter how much secuiry guards told us not to run, WE ALL RAN! AND THERE WE WERE! in front of the runway from Guy's side! As our little group stuck together, we were able to go the toilets one last time while the others kept our spots safe. When I came back, the ground was full of people, all sitting having drinks/snacks after a long long rough day! I forgot one thing, we sadly didn't get to meet Oxfam volunteers (they probably didn't know about the early entry queue  )! Anyway, we waited until 7pm, and the CRAZY TALENTED Alessia Cara came on stage, she was soooo confident and beautiful! probably one the best Coldplay first acts <3 ! Afterwards, Lianne played, we were too stressed and excited we couldn't really get on board with her :S
Saad
[Part 3] SHOW TIME ! While we were waiting, I spotted Phil and Annabelle talking with two other people! I kept waving and screaming and they finally saw me!They waved back :dazzled: and I got a thumbs up from Phil too, while the crowd made the Viva chant! What a way to start the show! And out of nowhere, O mio babino caro started playing, we all knew what this means: four people we love more than anything in the world were about to hit the stage! People screaming, other crying, Yu was jumping, Oksana was so moved she stood still! And THEY WENT ON STAGE, I saw Jonny play the first AHFOD guitar notes! The stadium jumped up during the whole song, the fireworks made people go even crazier! You truly "forget the world and its weight when you see Coldplay), all you can think of is how beautiful is the world for giving us these boys <3 They started Yellow with Chris playing an acoustic solo (I prefer the Stade de France piano version to be honest, but anyway...)! The crowd could NOT stop singing and jumping, Chris made eye contact with people as usual, he's a child inside, he spreads love just by staring at people! :loveshower: The moment I waited my whole life for was seeing The Scientist live. I had seen Coldplay live but they had never performed the song... And I could not hold my tears, I cried, I did, Oksana did too, we cried our eyes out to one the most beautiful songs ever (thank you for your support and help <3)! They played Birds, the Paradise remix made people go wild, there was a Buckin moment where Jonny and Chris played guitar in the catwalk right in front of me! They kept staring at each other while playing, and man, sometimes we forget what a legendary guiatrist Buckland is! They moved to C-stage, the screen visuals were breathtaking! Chris introduced the band in French and said Guy is " l'homme le plus sexy" Gosh, make up your mind, is it Jonny, Guy or Annabelle ? ! ARMY OF ONE is probably the biggest surprise of the AHFOD tour, definitely my favourite, plus Chris messed up its lyrics, it was funny! They also rocked Clocks and Charlie Brown! Hymn and the confettis made us dance like crazy, even crazier than Chris (is it even possible?)!  Fix you was as moving as usual (i don't know if it's a good idea to play it after HFTW though)! A new Buckin moment at the beginning of Heroes cover (while we were expecting Raspberry beret), those two are gonna kill me one day ! (I don't think youtube can't handle the video) WELL WELL WELL, It's VIVA LA VIDA time, people went crazy, we sang from the top of our lungs, Chris ran through the catwalk multiple times (thank god he didn't slip )! Same with AOAL with Chris shouting ANNABELLE <3 the big balloons (one girl kept one for herself after the show, I have no idea how she did that, the ball was too big (no pun intended ))  The request segment wasn't super exciting! I love UATW but they could have made a bigger surprise (people requested square one, gravity, etc) Time for Amazing day, the perfect description of the day! It's uplifting, the crowd singing along to the Oh oh oh part reminds me of Viva (it's gonna become an iconic Coldplay live song)! Bonus: third Buckin moment of the night! Someone stop them! seriously! ASFOS, oh my god ASFOS, it's full of joy and happiness! but you sadly know only one song is left! And then Up&Up starts, and you get mixed feelings, the song is a hymn for life but it also closes the concert :sad2: Chris ended up saying: We'll be back to France before you know it. YEAH YOU BETTER DO. And well, an adventure of lifetime came to an end, we said goodbye to the band, to our new friends! I love them so much, they made my day so special! they're exactly what you'd expect a Coldplay fan to be (one of them drove us to the airport even if the traffic was impossible). I feel grateful for all that's happened, for Coldplay, for the fans, for life. You all make me so full of love I could barely eat. Love. Saad
