Wait what was the previous title?

 

I can't remember the exact name but at the beginning it had something like "goldplay" which I don't like because all of us are coldplayers. If we are in this forum is because Coldplay became part of our lives thanks to their music and something beyond that. There is no need to reclassify this fandom.

Agreed, it's a good stretch. And damn, I definitely wasn't expecting Fun to be one of my favorites! I also like X Marks the Spot, don't think it's as horrible at some people think it is.

Fun to X Marks the Spot is a good stretch, I'm listening to those songs A LOT and they're really growing on me (particularly Fun), but the first three songs on the album are my most played. Coldplay has always had a very strong first three songs on their LPs, in fact the only song I'm not that fond of inside the first three tracks of an album is 'Spies' on Parachutes. That's right, I'm saying Ink is a better third track than Spies. Hopefully I can share that without getting roasted in this thread. Although I'm guessig that Oldplayer or not, everyone else in CPing prefers Spies over Ink, lol.

I played Viva to death when it came out. It's still my favorite Coldplay album.

I prefer the alternate version of spies which is more upbeat to either of those choices.

Yes that is the best version. But I really need to give X another chance I deleted first chance I got. I really like Fun though. I don't even care about the electronic bass drum.

That's right I prefer Spies over Ink. I love both but the band sounds fantastic on Spies. Jonny did a great job in the song. Plus, this song fits with what I'm feeling at the moment while Ink doesn't make sense to me in this stage of my life. But once again I love Ink, I like the sound of the drum kit (or whatever they are called lol) specially when I listen to it with my earphones.

Dear fellows, I wanted to create a thread for all those who love all the old stuff and the new stuff. A thread in which we can appreciate the pureness and beauty of their releases, discuss them, discuss the band and how amazing they were and are. Be it live or studio stuff for each other to hear or watch and just indulge in that unique Coldplay atmosphere which many of us love so much. In short, this place is for appreciating everything they've done.

 

I'd roughly say the timeframe discussed here is 1998 to the present, so it includes EVERYTHING.

 

Here's to Bigger Stronger, The Blue Room, Parachutes, A Rush Of Blood To The Head, X&Y, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, Prospekt's March, Mylo Xyloto, Ghost Stories and currently, A Head Full Of Dreams! Also, here's to the much-beloved brilliant B-sides of those Eras!

 

To kick it off, just go listen to their songs or something :P

I kinda expect that of all the threads....mostly (except the Oldplaying cuz well it was created for people to vent out their frustrations about the new music hehe), but maybe I expect too much? hehe
