Guys, this is the third copycat thread of the Oldplaying thread and it's getting boring. Also, you may wanna review your spelling of the word "neutral" in the title... :dozey:

I wasn't trying to mock you guys or anything, it's just a friendly joke :) I'll fix that mistake but in my defense, I'm not native lol.

^ Moving To Mars is so awesome. I listened to it earlier today and it felt like I was floating up above the world [emoji7]

Yes! I really wish they kept it in the album. But atleast they released it! :D

To be honest, I don't think it would fit with the rest of the story of the album. It's much more intetesting this way, as a b-side - like a hidden gem that not many people know about [emoji5]

^^ Let 'em have their thread. We got one for our opinions, so why shouldn't they? :P

As an Oldplayer, I doubt I'll be visiting here much, but I wish you all happy discussing! Here's one of my favorites from the MX era :nice:

One of my favorite songs from the MX era. Very happy they released it.

Moving To Mars should've been instead of Up In Flames

I actually like Up In Flames and think it fits very well with the rest the album, specially after POC, since these two songs both have the same beat. The way Chris sounds in the chorus of UIF is so desperate, just like the album is supposed to feel at that point. MTM wouldn't have worked the same way, in my opinion.

Aiko *cough cough*

  [emoji14]

Some of you might disagree, but I wish they had put just a tad bit more production and layers into Moving to Mars. I feel it just lacks a bit.

In terms of layers and overall sound I think MTM is perfect. My only complaint is that it should be much longer, just like Jonny's solo :)

@I ran away is right. In terms of those all copycats I prefer the title of this one http://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/the-ultimate-coldplaying-thread-s-bs-br-p-arobtth-x-y-vlv-mx-gs-ahfod.105325/ it feels more appropriate.

Anyways, the next video is one of my favorite performances they've done in Later with Jools Hollands. Maybe because each member sounds great, especially Guy did a great job, the bass and his backing vocals sounds really good

Holy I never noticed that until you brought it up lol

Haha! I only noticed it myself when a member (can't remember who) mentioned it once in some thread. It's a cool detail, though ;)

Can I point out how amazing Jonny sounds on MX- I'm listening it because of that one album a day thingy and I just love the guitar more than anything else on it

Jonny is the man on all albums but I think he has grown exponentially with the later works. Compare his work on Parachutes or A Rush to what he later did on MX and now AHFOD. He is just blossoming more and more!
